These games formed part of the Watford and London International Festival of Football, held annually at Parmiter's School in Watford. The Reading Under-11 team for the 2000/01 season took part in the section of the tournament described as "Pro Youth Under-10". The reason for the apparent discrepancy in ages is that the cut-off date for Academy football is 31st August, whilst this tournament took place in July.
Group B table:

| Coventry City | 5 | 3 | 1 | 1 | 7 | 4 | +3 | 10 |

Reading then won a play-off game against the fourth placed team from Group A, Fulham. Therefore, in some sense we came equal seventh in the competition (out of twelve teams).
