These games formed part of the Watford and London International Festival of Football, held annually at Parmiter's School in Watford. The Reading Under-12 team for the 2000/01 season took part in the section of the tournament described as "Pro Youth Under-11". The reason for the apparent discrepancy in ages is that the cut-off date for Academy football is 31st August, whilst this tournament took place in July.
Group B table:

| Norwich City | 4 | 3 | 0 | 1 | 7 | 5 | +2 | 10 |

| Coventry City | 4 | 1 | 2 | 1 | 2 | 1 | +1 | 8 |
| Millwall | 4 | 0 | 3 | 1 | 0 | 2 | -2 | 8 |
| Wimbledon | 4 | 0 | 2 | 2 | 1 | 5 | -4 | 4 |
Reading then won a play-off game against the second placed team from Group A, Watford. Therefore, in some sense we came third in the competition (out of eleven teams).
