Attendance:
Reading line-up: Young (A Samuel),
Monger, Stanley (M Jones), Middleton, McCabe, Boddy, Laidler, St

Trialists Jamie Young (a goalkeeper from Australia) and Ashley St Louie (midfield) played again in this game. Another trialist Andre Fashanu (forward) was on the bench but did not get on. Other players whose names I don't recognise and so who are presumably trialists were Paul Monger (full-back), Conor McCabe, Andre Samuel (goalkeeper), Michael Cook and Adam Stowell (unused substitute).
Report from The Scribe
Arsenal were a strong side and much faster onto the ball than Reading. They dominated the match and it was only a combination of some good defending and luck that kept the score down to 1-0. The goal came halfway through the first half, but Arsenal also hit the post and the bar.
Reading had only one shot on goal when Louie Soares put the ball past the post after being released with a long clearance.
Arsenal are now top of the our Academy Group, whilst we are still last, so the result was not a surprise.
