These games formed part of the Graham Taylor International Festival of Football, held annually at Parmiter's School in Watford. The Reading Under-10 team for the 2002/03 season took part in the section of the tournament described as "Pro Youth Under-10".
There were sixteen teams, split into four groups of four for games in the morning. Matches were played over ten minutes each way, and were eight-a-side. Reading had a squad of eleven players and were in Group D. The final group table was as follows:
