These games formed part of the Graham Taylor International Festival of Football, held annually at Parmiter's School in Watford. The Reading Under-12 team for the 2002/03 season took part in the section of the tournament described as "Pro Youth Under-12".
There were fourteen teams, split into two groups of seven. Matches were played over 25 minutes with no half-time. Reading were in Group B and the final group table was as follows:

At the end of the day, Reading played in a play-off game against the fourth-placed team from the other group, Watford. This match was a draw so in some sense Reading finished joint seventh of the 14 teams.
