Q: List all the different words that end the names of teams in
the Premiership or Football League (excluding those teams, such
as "Reading", whose names are only one word).
A: (Deep breath) Albion, Alexandra, Argyle, Athletic, City,
County, Diamonds, End, Forest, Harriers, Hotspur, Orient, Palace,
Rangers, Rovers, Town, United, Vale, Villa, Wanderers, Wednesday.
Other blasts from the past are Alliance, Arsenal, Avenue, Brighton, Celtic, Fosse, Heath, Ironopolis, Stanley, Swifts, Tower, Trinity and Victoria.
If we look at current or recent members of the Football Conference, there are also Borough, Institute and Redbridge, as well as Celtic, Stanley and Victoria from the above list of former League clubs.
If we had any interest at all in Scotland we could also add Academical, Fife, Johnstone, Midlothian, Mirren, Morton, Park, South, Stirlingshire and Thistle.
