Football Quiz - Answers

Q: Which is the only member of the Royal family to play in an FA Cup final?
A: Joe Royle

OK, so I cheated a bit on this one. It works if you're talking to someone, but doesn't when you have to write it down. The key part of how to answer this question (or similar ones) is to say, "Which Royal family?". Of course you can then start to be pretentious and talk about some member of the Hungarian Royal family who played professional English football in the 1930s, whilst the person who asked the question is thinking that you are a right pillock.

And in case you've been unable to tell from other parts of this website, 1871 does not accept the existence of any Royal family in this country at all, and will be up there helping to fire the shots when the revolution comes.

Anyway, Joe Royle played in the 1968 FA Cup Final for Everton, who lost 1-0 to West Bromwich Albion.

Thanks to Glyn Ballinger for pointing out that I had rather embarrassingly got the question wrong the first time round.
