Q: Name six players who have an "x" in their surname
and who have played for England since 1970.
A: Kerry Dixon, Lee Dixon, Mike Duxbury, Graham Le Saux, Graham
Rix, Jason Wilcox
One thing that strikes me about that list is that with the possible exception of Graham Le Saux, none of those players should ever really have played for England. Having said that, it was excellent to see ex-Reading player Kerry Dixon make it, particularly as his first two caps meant we got an extra £25,000 in transfer fee from Chelsea.
Thanks to Robert Whiteley for pointing out that Jason Wilcox should be in the list.
If the time restriction wasn't in this question, then you could also have had J D Cox, J Cox, R W Dix, J A Dixon, F S Fox and Albert Quixall.
