Well, this section of the website has rather hit problems due to the club's ludicrous ban on fans taking cameras into the ground during games. As an example of what this means, spot the difference between the following two pictures.
The first picture was taken by a Farnborough fan, during their game against Gravesend & Northfleet on 22nd August, 2000 (a match that was switched to Madejski Stadium as part of the deal which allowed us to play "home" reserve games at Farnborough's ground during the 2000/01 season). The photograph is reprinted here by permission of Nigel Long, the webmaster of Farnborough Town on the Web. When I told Nigel about the camera ban for Reading games, he said, "No wonder the stewards (yes, there were some) were looking strangely at me!"

Here is what the same picture would have looked like at a Reading home game.
As far as I know, it is not yet a crime against the Thought Police to take photographs of the outside of Madejski Stadium, and so I will extend this section of the website with some of those. I have already taken the photographs, and now need only to get them developed and scanned. Shouldn't take more than the whole summer of 2002 for me to get round to that......
In the meantime, here's a photo of the Megastore and north-west corner of the ground that Robbie Holmes in Holland has sent to me:
