Remember we're not talking about someone who had no chances. He played 48 (yes, 48) times for Reading. He had one-on-ones with the keeper, he had close range shots, he had chances to get his toe onto the end of goalmouth scrambles, he had chances to run into space and pick up the ball.

And yet every single chance (bar one) was either blocked, saved or more usually missed.
