| Name | Base |
| Dermot Gallagher | Banbury |
Reading games he has refereed (may not be complete):
| Date | Result | Comments |
| 18/7/2000 | Cheltenham Town 2 Reading 2 | Pre-season friendly |
| 10/11/2001 | Reading 3 Bristol City 2 | |
| 21/11/2001 | Bristol City 1 Reading 0 | Reserve League Cup game |
| 26/12/2001 | Cardiff City 2 Reading 2 | Absolutely hopeless and out of his depth: booked Nicky Shorey for "being tripped outside the area"; failed to book either of two Cardiff players where he signalled diving; and failed to send off a Cardiff player for kicking Phil Parkinson on the ground. |
| 23/1/2002 | Reading 2 Cardiff City 1 | Reserve League game |
| 27/2/2002 | Reading 1 Swindon Town 1 | Reserve League game |
| 13/8/2002 | Reading 2 Besiktas 1 | Under-19 friendly |
| 13/9/2003 | West Ham United 1 Reading 0 | Very biased to the home side. Failed to award a clear penalty for a foul on Shaun Goater. |
| 28/10/2003 | Reading 1 Huddersfield Town 0 | League Cup game. |
Other comments:
Dermot Gallagher's base in Banbury is considered local to Reading, so for some time he did not referee any of Reading's competitive games. I would like to see a very quick return to that state of affairs.
On 29/10/2001, he became the first of the 24 fully professional referees to be relegated, although later claimed that this was not in fact the case. His next game was Reading against Bristol City, although I believe that he was scheduled to take charge of that game even before being relegated. His performance in our 3-2 win suggested that he should be further demoted.
