Other comments:
Clive Penton works for BT in Hove, lives in Brighton and originally comes from Worthing. He used to be a semi-professional footballer. According to a Brighton fan, Penton's father is a season ticket holder at Withdean Stadium. So why on earth was he put in charge of a Reading game at the end of 2001/02 when Reading and Brighton & Hove Albion were close rivals? Although I thought he had a poor game, I should add that there was no apparent bias.
Even worse was when he actually refereed the second half of a game against Brighton due to the injury of the original ref.
