Attendance: 500ish (approximately 100 Reading)

Reading took the lead through Darius Henderson after 15 minutes, and Henderson added a second after 43 minutes. Adi Viveash and trialist Joe Gamble came on as subs for their first Reading appearances (first of this spell for Viveash). Gamble hit the bar towards the end of the game.
Also, Alan Pardew played the whole game and Nicky Hammond came on as a left winger in the second half. The biggest shock of the day was that Hammond managed to remain injury-free.
