Match report:

Match notes:

Kevin Watson played the last game of his loan spell and it was the first game he played in that we did not win. That last part also applied to John Salako.

Phil Whitehead missed his first League game for over 19 months (since 24/4/2000), allowing Jamie Ashdown to make his first League start. Tony Malessa was named in a Reading squad for the first time, although he spent the whole game on the bench. Adie Wiliams made his first start since returning from his latest injury.
