Match notes:
The only change to the starting line-up was that John Salako replaced Nathan Tyson. In fact, Tyson dropped right out of the squad and Anthony Rougier took the spare place on the bench.
Last season, Rougier scored two goals in a reserve game away to Gillingham, so his goal in this game confirms that he likes playing at Priestfield Stadium. All three were at the same end as well.
Reading's clean sheet was the third on the trot and the eighth in the League this season from 17 games. We still have the equal lowest number of goals conceded, tied with Leicester City at 14.
Including last season's loan spell, Marcus Hahnemann has now played 18 League games for Reading, conceding just nine goals (and those nine include one wicked deflection plus two mishit shots). He also has 11 clean sheets in those 18 games.
