Match notes:

Compared to the Derby County game, Nicky Shorey returned from suspension and replaced Ricky Newman, whilst James Harper started instead of the injured Kevin Watson. Omar Daley took Harper's place on the bench.

Nathan Tyson's substitute appearance was his first game of the season, and the first since being sent off in the play-off semi-final.

Omar Daley's substitute appearance was his debut for the club.

The result meant that Reading failed to go to the top of the division, but are still unbeaten this season.
