Local Rivals 2002/2003

Since the demise of Aldershot, Reading's closest rivals have been Oxford and Swindon. On the occasions when all three teams have played in the same division, there was an unofficial Didcot Triangle competition, using the league results between the teams.

However, Readng have now left behind all of these teams, and more creativity is needed to come up with suitable competitions. The best suggestion I heard for 2002/03 was the Meridian Challenge Cup, competed for by the four teams in our division who are covered by the Meridian TV region.
