Abingdon Town, Aylesbury United, Marlow, Reading, Slough Town, Windsor & Eton, Wokingham Town and Wycombe Wanderers had byes to this round. I think that Windsor & Eton and Abingdon Town gained their exemptions through being the finalists in 1988/89, whilst the other six teams received byes due to their position in the football pyramid.
