Avon Insurance Combination League Cup 2000/2001

11 clubs (out of the 25 in the League) took part in the League Cup competition. The teams were divided into two groups, playing the other teams in their group once each. One group had five teams, the other six. Because of the uneven split between home and away games in the five team group, I suspect that 12 clubs entered the competition initially but one later pulled out. The two group winners then met in the final on the home ground of one of the finalists.

Reading won Group B and qualified for the final.

The Bristol Rovers v Crystal Palace remained unplayed. Following the system used for the Avon Insurance Combination League during the season 2000/01, I have assumed that the result was declared as a 0-0 draw. Clearly it made no difference to the Group winners, anyway.
