Fabien Piveteau

Born 28/10/1963 in Cholet, France.

Fabien Piveteau's Reading career must be one of the least distinguished that there has been. He played one friendly game on 19/7/1998 against Streekelftal (a team selected from several Dutch local football sides) during Reading's pre-season tour of Holland. Reading completely outclassed the opposition, winning 10-1, and goalkeeper Piveteau had almost no chance to take part in the game let alone prove himself. Inevitably he let in a soft goal near the end.

He was available to play for Reading having been released by his club Bastia after two seasons there. Before that he had played for Angers, Nice, Le Havre and Monaco.

In May 2002, Piveteau was part of the management team that took over at Angers, who by then were playing in the French National League. Piveteau's role was that of "conseiller". The literal translation of this is "adviser", so I don't know whether it means that he is Director of Football, Chief Scout, or coach.
