Vestas
Blades UK Limited Firework Night
Vestas held a firework
night on Friday November 3rd at Newport Football club for
employees and their families. The event was well attended and
apart from being cold, the weather was ideal for the fireworks. A
large display with a big bomb fire at the end, and it was a
fantastic evening. The Trust would like to thank everyone at
Vestas for choosing us to be their chosen Charity for 2006, and
raising £2000.

The
2006 PICKLED ONION WARS. The
2006 PICKLE WARS took place at The WOODVALE in Gurnard in January,
where the Trust had an entry. The competition was strong with 39
entries, at the start. One late arrival made it 40 entries. All
were tried, and some I have to say got no marks at all. We
at the Trust entered our favourite brew, and after all the scores
were added up, we were proud to have come
runner up, and the only onion to get a 10/10.
If you see us out and about on the Island,
why not try them for yourselves. (IF YOU
ARE BRAVE ENOUGH)
