Locality and transport
Sessions will normally be held in Chelmsford in Upper Bridge Road, which is 10 minutes walk from the train station and convenient for buses. Parking is possible but not easy due to the Residents' Parking Scheme. There is a reasonable chance in Seymour Street on the right but check out the signs. There are other bays further up Upper Bridge Road, but you may need to allow a little extra time to scout these out! The hot link will take you to a map that will help you find us.

There is no waiting rooms and no accessible toilet at Upper Bridge Road.

Ethics and Confidentiality
As members of BACP we work according to their Codes of Ethics and Practice. Ralph is also subject to the Code of Ethics of the AIP. Of particular concern will be confidentiality and we will at all times respect the confidentiality of those who work with us. We will not disclose any information about you other than what is necessary in the course of professional supervision, unless required to do so by law or in cases of disclosure of child abuse.

Sessions
Sessions are always for 50 minutes. One feature of therapy that is sometimes hard to understand is the holding of tight boundaries to the work. There are very good reasons for this, which are fundamental to the work, but the immediate consequence, is that sessions start and end at the agreed time.

Cancellations and missed sessions
As with most other professional arrangements, therapy is an ongoing commitment until it is agreed to end. There will be short breaks in the work at times we will tell you about when you start work or at the beginning of the year, leading to approximately 42 to 44 working weeks in the year. With the exception of absences planned before the work commences, or unavoidable absence of the therapist, cancellations and breaks will be charged for.

Payment
We will bill you monthly in arrears at the end off the month/start of the following month, unless we agree other arrangements. We request payment within 14 days of invoice.
