Training
We have worked for many years in the training of counsellors. Alpha-M offers facilitated workshops and short courses to counselling agencies and other similar organisations. Normally these would be offered at the premises of the client organisation but if more appropriate, facilities can be provided elsewhere. Workshops can be tailored to be largely experiential, largely taught input or a combination of both. We have recently conducted successful workshops on Basic Sensitivity, Winnicott, Money and Soul, The Erotic Transference and Non-Verbal Therapies. We have a range of other possibilities and would be happy to develop new workshops to meet your needs.

Organisational Appraisal
Organisations have a life of their own that seems to mirror the adaptation and functioning of the individual psyche. It is very common experience that an organisation can loose sight of its intended purpose and become dysfunctional with often drastic results, unless it can take stock and address the underlying problems. We have almost unique experience in carrying out organisational reviews in the charity sector. We would typically audit the documentation of the organisation and through a programme of interviews and discussions with a cross section of personnel, seek to form a view of the effectiveness and dynamics of the organisation informed by psychoanalytic principals. We would deliver a comprehensive report on the organisation, which would be valuable in forward planning, inform trustees and reassure potential funding bodies of the organisation's worth.

Management and Project work
Based upon years of experience in the all aspects of the management of counselling agencies as well as in large business, we are well placed to provide consultancy or to undertake specific tasks for organisations. Examples of work that could be undertaken would be management structural review, bid management for contract work or funding applications, BACP accreditation of training courses. We have experience and track record in all of these areas and would be happy to discuss work of this or a similar nature
