The previous Boathouse from the air,1997

The new boathouse from 16th December 2001.

The boathouse is generally not available to the public due to Health and Safety regulations. The public may enter on request when the mechanic is in attendance, usually on Monday-Friday,1000-1200,or on Sunday mornings, when the crew meet. The crew are more than willing to entertain reasonable groups to the boathouse for a conducted tour and presentation outside these hours. Interested parties can arrange this either by contacting  the mechanic at the boathouse on 01745 344040; or, if you wish to apply by e-mail, then contact the boathouse at  rhyl@rnli.org.uk  . Over 1500 people, including over 30 school visits,  were taken on a conducted tour of the boathouse in 2004.

The new boathouse was first used properly after the exercise of 16th December 2001. It is a new purpose-built structure, being able to house both the ILB and AWB together for the first time, with improved facilities including new toilets, a shower room, drying room, rooms for both the Coxswain and the Honorary Secretary, and a large crew room and separate committee room.

The address of the boathouse for all correspondence is

Lifeboat House, Marine Parade, RHYL, LL18 3YP
