Paul Frost,2nd mechanic, placing laminated picture of 2001 crew with crew list on rear, between cavities of wall on new boathouse, between souvenir shop and ILB house, on 21/6/2001. Mrs Jean Frost (Paul's mum), Vice-President of branch committee and Souvenir shop manageress, also placing record of volunteers who work in the shop, together with copy of souvenir catalogue, into same wall cavity. Picture taken on service to Yacht "Pilgrim", 21/7/2003,showing radar image on Offshore Lifeboat. (North is to top, and the Lifeboat's position is in the centre of the screen ). The image shows the Vale of Clwyd below the centre; Rhyl is in the centre of the upper line; and the 30 piles of the new wind farm are clearly visible as a block to the right of the centre of the screen.

12-24 now back on carriage,returning as "Rhyl Lifeboat" 12-24 back on station. 
First exercise with new "X" boat at Llandulas beach on 4/8/2001.Are the crew now to be called "X-Men"    ????????

Inflating the X-boat (easier with a compressed air cylinder.Crew L-R are Jimmy Quinn: Dane Jones: Paul Archer-Jones: and Martin Jones Boat nearly inflated,just the seat to go (inflates in 4 seconds with air cylinder,as opposed to 4 minutes by mouth. Boat over the side,attached to a long line,crew will row to shore to get "Casualties". Getting the lines sorted out.Paul Archer-Jones (Second Coxswain) acting as "Casualty" in water.

November 2001.Joint exercise with Flint ILB. Rhyl & Flint ILBs towing Rhyl AWB. Rhyl crewmember John O.Connor acting as casualty in engine room of Rhyl AWB for exercise with Flint.  January 27th 2002. Exercise with SeaKing helicopter from 22 squadron,RAF Valley,Anglesey.
