Hi and welcome to my page. I hope your enjoying finding out about The Electro Angels and why we enjoy what we do.

Generally, I have many musical influences but where I come from in the Forest of Dean, the majority of local bands are covers bands with the odd one or two that write and record their own material. This has encouraged me to strive to write and record something a little different from the rest.

I've been playing in bands for some years now which have mostly been rock influenced. When keyboards and technology became more accessible, I decided to take the plunge and do something more electronic. I set up a small studio with a view to taking it out and playing live. This came sooner than I expected which was no bad thing as it spurred me on to do bigger and better things.

Initially writing alone and having completed several tracks, I decided to seek a vocalist. Advertising in local newspapers and auditioning several, I met Sally who also introduced me to her brother Richard. I’d found my vocalist and completed the line up with the final addition of another keyboard player in one move. We found we all had a love in music and a common goal to succeed. From this, The Electro Angels were born.

It seemed strange at first after previously playing in rock bands, up on stage with a few synthesizers and a guitar hanging from your neck, but you get used to it and start enjoying performing in between five indie bands at a festival, coming on stage and blasting out the synthesizers.

With the aim of getting our music heard, we started recording tracks for our first EP, Plasma. We’d soon amassed 20 tracks and so went on to record Mantra at a friends studio. Due to limited funds, most of the work going into producing the two CD’s has been done by ourselves with some help from very good friends. Ultimately we know we need to keep on writing and recording because that's what we love doing most and if you enjoy our music too, even better.

Anyway. We will do our best to keep you up to date and informed of the latest happenings with the band.

Bye for now.

Lee.
