ElectroAngels
Are:
Sally Ballinger: Vocals
Richard Ballinger:
Synths & Programming
Lee Baldwin: Synths,
Programming & Guitar
Formed
by Lee after placing an ad for a vocalist in the local press and because of
this met Sally and Richard.
After
writing and rehearsing tracks, the band decided to enter the South West
Battle of the bands competition and found themselves in the 98 finals. This
would be their first public performance. The Electro Angels were born in
front of 500 people.
After
much local acclaim, the Electro Angels were asked to play various venues
including what turned out to be a biker’s bash, attended by a 200 strong
crowd. An electronic outfit performing live at a bikers bash I hear you cry!
Well it was a blast, culminating in the Angels being asked to play the
forthcoming National Bulldog Bash
Not
content with all of this, the Angels were then invited to play the Rosswyn,
a well-known local live music venue in Ross-on-Wye as a build up to the 98
International Festival. A huge crowd descended upon the venue as word got
out and the evening was a huge success, drawing in record crowds for the
venue and of course, record takings. Then in September 98 came an invite to
perform for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The concert was a
sell-out and raised hundreds of pounds for charity. |
