I'm currently the proud owner of a 2005 VW Touran 2.0 TDI Sport with the DSG transmission, having traded in our old Skoda Octavia estate.  The Octy was a faithful old workhorse for a while but had a few elecrical reliability issues.  The new ride is great!

I've pretty much always been a VW fan as my family had a few when I were a lad & this is currently my 2nd.  (Not counting the Czech cousin...)  My family has had, over the years a:

I had a MK2 Polo hatch/3 door estate some years ago which was a great little car but the Touran is by far the best yet!

Have a look at the links page as there should be one or two VW group related links.  The interweb is a great place for VW owners as there seems to be a thriving community whatever you drive.  An example is, do a Google search for dielectric grease tdi.  You'll find info about applying grease to the plug on the lead to the MAF sensor.  On cars that are running a little rougher than they should be, it works wonders!  Here's a good example of the useful info on the web.  Don't forget to throw a Shaka to other VW drivers, especially the water cooled faithful!  Oh, and it's pronounced Folksvagen not Volks wagon!!!
