Declarer trumps the 2nd and leads a to the Q and another on which east discards a .You win with the 9 and its you to go. Well we could play a trump, declarer wins in hand and trumps a with the Kª and draws trumps conceding a .Plan B, we could play a diamond same result. Can we beat this? How about the no-no ruff and discard, he can ruff in either hand but just cant manage. Lets say he ruffs in dummy, he can play A§ and ruff a§ ruff a with the Kª and draw trumps but he has no more trumps and is still missing the A. He would do better to ruff in hand and ruff a low in dummy and its over to east. He must !NOT! over ruff. Declarer can play A§ ruff a § and ruff another low but this time east overruffs and forces him with a § and he is a trick short. There's more to this game than meets the eye.
