Introduction: This was the first time that the group had met in a long time. Therefore it was agreed to have a brainstorming session to see if the group could achieve an objective and direction.

Present: Justin Bettey, Pat Still, Malcolm Still, Jan Bourne.

2) Group Objective: The group provisionally agreed on this objective: "To provide promotion & education for the community on health issues".

3) Promotion & possible projects for the group:

The group discussed many different projects and ideas for the group and managed to agree on the following:

The group will produce regular articles within local papers (initially the Borough News) on topical health issues. These articles would have input and approval from a qualified doctor. If successful then this could be expanded to other local papers. Action: JB to approach Darenth Hospital to see if a Doctor will be available for regular advice. N.B Phil Kessel mentioned that our MP is a doctor so JB will notify him of this impending project. JB will also ask the Council's PR Department for cost and availability within the Borough News and other local papers

Approaching the NHS Trust at Darenth Hospital to see if they would be interested in exhibiting at the Dartford festival this year. The group felt that this might be a good PR opportunity for the Trust. Action: JB to approach the Trust for discussions.

The group also thought that Health issues should be raised within other QED group meetings. The reason for this would be to try and integrate health awareness within a larger and more diverse audience. Action: Group members to raise this issue with other QED chairs
