Finances: Current Budget Stands at £4930.45

St.John Baptist project: The group have approved the £760 funding for this project. A cheque will be raised

AGM of the Federation of City Gardeners and Farmers (8th July): RW stated he would like to attend the above AGM in July which would entail a cost. The cost would be two return train fares. This expenditure was approved

Visit to Audley End Organic Kitchen Gardens: RS raised the above trip and stated that the cost of the trip including coach hire would be £270. The group approved this expenditure.

Lawrence Hill Memorial Plaque: RS asked if a plaque similar to the one already produced for Mr Hill could be presented to the HDRA (The Organic Organisation) which Lawrence founded. The group approved the expenditure of this second plaque £120. Action: RS to arrange and ask supplier to send invoice to DBC

Festival:

Allotments: RW stated that the allotments group will be presenting at the festival. The main theme will be the aerial photographs showing different allotment sites in the Borough. Action: JB to organise the aerial photographs ASAP.

News from Groups:

Allotments: RS stated that he had visited the "War on Wasteî"exhibition at the Detling show. He was most impressed with the information packs on waste and composting supplied by KCC. RS wondered if this could be repeated at the Dartford Festival. Action: JB to investigate; JB to put this issue on the agenda for the next steering meeting.

AOB: Phil Kessel to look into the erecting of the Lawrence Hill memorial plaque within Dartford Library.
