NOTES FROM QED TRANSPORT GROUP OPEN MEETING FEBRUARY 4TH 1998

Those Present: John Strong (Chair), Mike Pratt, Phil Kessel, Duncan Philips (DBC), Ian Mayers (Connex SE), Bob Carson (Clement Street), Councillor Cook, David Meade (Woodland Trust), Richard Wiltshire (QED Allotments), John Gunn (Chair QED Steering Group), WA Lewis (Dartford Wheelers).

Apologies for Absence: Isobel Stoddart (Sustrans), Colin Sharp (O.T.Cycles).

Opening Remarks: The Chair opened the meeting with a short statement explaining the aims and objectives of QED and forthcoming planned events and projects.

Air Pollution: The Chair introduced Duncan Philips, Scientific Officer Dartford Borough Council, who presented his paper on Air Pollution, for which he was warmly thanked.

Darenth Country Park Project: Richard Wiltshire will give an up-date on the Darenth Country Park Project at the next meeting.

QED AGM March 25th The meeting was reminded that the first Annual General Meeting of QED will take place on March 25th at 7.00 pm in the Civic Centre. The meeting will be followed at 7.30 pm by a presentation by Duncan Philips of his Environmental Audit

Cycling: John Strong and Paddy Herlihy will liaise with COG Cycle Opportunity Groups.

Next Meeting: Please Note! The next meeting of the Transport Group will be at 7.30 p.m. on March 11th. in the Council Chamber of the Civic Centre.
