Is Waste Costing You the
Earth? What Can You Do About It?
|
The direct costs of waste disposal are rising all the time
- and so are the costs to the environment. The QED Waste Management
Group, part of Dartford's Local Agenda 21 initiative, would like to
assist businesses in the area to reduce waste (and the costs of
waste), adopt best practice in waste management, and promote
recycling.
If you have concerns about waste disposal - its costs
and its consequences - then we would like to hear from you. Our
membership includes businessmen who have won awards for outstanding
achievement in the waste management field, public officials who are
familiar with all the relevant regulations, and local environmental
groups.
If you would like to know more, or want to have your say,
please contact the QED Waste Management Group, c/o Alan Cremer,

- We have identified outlets for the recycling of non-standard
pallets from whatever source.
- We are looking for cleaned plastic barrels from local
businesses in the chemicals, foodstuffs and related industries, to
facilitate composting and water conservation.
- If you are in the construction industry we can find a good
home for redundant chestnut fencing and discarded light diffusion
panels.
- If you have a disposal problem with any of these items, or
other materials you feel could be reused, please call us now.
