Another couple of hours work, and the final results from yesterday's
Wyre Forest 8 are now completed - positions within the male or female
field, category positions and team positions have all now been added.

February 12 ~ On
a bitterly cold morning the 16th Wyre Forest 8 is held on a frosty,
slushy, wintry course with 210 finishers. AMAZING FEET RC would
like to thank all of you for coming over to the Wyre Forest and taking
part, and on your behalf we would like to thank all the club members
and their families who helped out on the day. provisional race results

February 4 ~ It's
the second League race tomorrow at Stourbridge IF you have a place
already. Sadly, the race has been declared full, so unless you are
going to watch and support the club runners, don't bother heading over
if you want to enter, as you will be turned away |

February 3 ~ At
tonight's Presentation Evening, the prestigious RUNNER OF THE
YEAR award was presented to IAN HALL following an
amazing 2011 of cross country races, club league races, ultra events
and the incredible Marathon de Sables. A worthy and well deserved
winner |

winner of the MOST IMPROVED RUNNER OF THE YEAR award at
tonight's Presentation Evening was SHAW PYE |

Following his title winning efforts as Cross Country Captain and his
continued assistance at all things AMAZING FEET, IAN HALL
picked up the CLUB PERSON (FOOT) OF THE YEAR award
tonight, the only person ever to win this award two years in
successsion |

four annual awards voted for by the club's membership were revealed

Engraved commemorative medals were handed out at the Presentation
Evening tonight to all the 30 members who had taken part in any or all
of our 2010/2011 cross country league races : those to the men also
engraved DIVISION THREE CHAMPIONS ! Those who had taken part in all
four races received medals in presentation boxes, whilst everyone else
received medals on a ribbon |

Another great evening as 34 members and guests attended the annual
presentation evening at the King & Castle in Kidderminster. The Valley
Suite was an excellent room, and after a relaxed informal quiz on club
matters & people from 2011, we had a superb buffet ahead of the
presentation of the annual awards |

Individual results from the third fixture in both the Ladies and Men's Cross Country

January 23 ~ The
official race website says "Can you run 45 miles ? Can you do it twice ? ".
Well that is exactly what IAN HALL did last weekend, with a 45
mile race on Saturday, followed by a 45 mile race on Sunday. Full

January 21 ~ It
doesn't happen very often, which makes those times when it does happen
all the sweeter.
NEV WATSON took on the Blymhill 10km to-day, and out of 320
finishers, he came FIRST !
Congratulations to Nev on becoming the 2012 Blymhill 10km Champion.
Also finishing well were DAVID PYE and ANDY NORRIS who
both recorded high finishes in the M60 category. Full details are on

January 16 ~ The
first event in the 2012 Inter-Club Race League was held yesterday at
Stratford-upon-Avon with six club members taking part, the same number
as we had in the 2011 event. details from the Not The Roman IX 12km
are now on the RESULTS PAGE (thanks to IAN HALL for sending in
the results). Sadly, there are NO categories shown in the results
listing (yet another chip timing event which produces absolutely
useless results) so I have been unable to include category positions
for the moment |

January 14 ~ 13
club members turned out for the third men's Cross Country League
fixture of the season at Coventry. We finished in an excellent 7th
place, pulling us up from 14th to 11th overall for our first season in
Division 2. |

Congratulations to SARAH ARMSTRONG who has again been selected
from the Cross Country Championships to represent Worcestershire in
the Inter-County Championships later this spring. Congratulations also
to NEV WATSON who becomes the first male Feet member to receive
an invitation to the Inter-County Championships |

superb turnout by our ladies at the Worcestershire Cross Country
Championships at Droitwich sees SEVEN FEET ladies complete the

all members please consider their nominations for the four annual
Runner of the Year awards (e-mails were sent out to all members on
December 27th) and return your votes to RICHARD BAKER as soon
as possible. These votes decide the recipients of our awards at the
Presentation Evening but at to-day's date only TEN MEMBERS have
actually bothered to vote !!!! |

are running out of time to have your say on the make-up of the 2012
Inter-Club Race League. E-mails were sent to all club members on
December 30th, with postal copies going out to the few members not on
e-mail, but your responses need to be with RICHARD BAKER by
SUNDAY JANUARY 8th at the latest. There is a committee meeting on
Monday 9th where the make-up of the 2012 Race League will be decided,
so don't miss the chance to have your say |

Belated results from PHIL and LOUISE WEBER who took part
in the St Leonard's Turner's Hill annual Boxing Day fun run in Sussex.
Phil reports the approximate 4.5 mile trail race is a good relaxed but

2012 :: January 1
~ Something for those of you with new bikes, new running shoes and new
Speedos for Christmas !!! Birmingham City Council announced
yesterday (Dec 31st) that the first City of Birmingham Triathlon will
take place in Sutton Park on Sunday July 15th 2012. Organised by the
City Council and UK Triathlon Events, there will be a range of
distances, up to the Olympic distance of 1,500M swim, 40km bike ride
and a 10km run |

December 21 ~ For
any club members who are not running in the excellent post-Christmas
Wheaton Aston 10km or the Threshold Winter series 10km on Tuesday
December 27th, there will be an approx. 8 mile run in the Wyre Forest
starting from the Visitor Centre at 10.00am. There will be two groups
(one faster, one slower) and most importantly, mulled wine and mince
pies afterwards. Meet in plenty of time for a 10 o'clock start |

December 19 ~ The
final Race League table is now available on the INTER-CLUB RACE LEAGUE
PAGE following the final event at Sneyd on December 11th. Well done to
our trophy winners ~ DAVID WHYMANT, CRAIG BONE,
GERALDEEN LYNCH, ANITA JONES and SARAH LEWIS. All
will receive their prizes at the club's Presentation Evening at the
King & Castle on February 3rd 2012 - FREE TO MEMBERS. The table of

Just two club finishers at to-day's Telford Christmas 10km, as both
NEV WATSON and STUART HAWKES finish in the top 60. Full

December 11 ~ A
great turnout at Mortimer Forest to-day as 15 FEET completed the 10
mile course. SARAH ARMSTRONG and RACHEL WARD both won
their categories, while debutant BEN CARRINGTON running in his
first open race for the club finished as 9th senior male. Full details

all members please note that the Not The Roman IX in
Stratford-upon-Avon will take place on Sunday January 15th 2012, and
entries are now open. THIS EVENT WILL BE THE FIRST RACE IN THE 2012
RACE LEAGUE AND ENTRIES WILL FILL UP WELL BEFORE RACE DAY.
Anyone keen on scoring some early League points for next season should

massive turnout of 8 club ladies represented AMAZING FEET RC at the
second cross country fixture of the season at Northampton to-day. We
came home 18th of 33 clubs - full results are on the LADIES CROSS

club members represented AMAZING FEET RC at the second cross country
league fixture of the season at Northampton to-day. We finished in
11th place out of the 17 teams - an excellent achievement in only our
second race at this higher level |

draw was made at last night' AGM for the clubs' two guaranteed places
in the 2012 Virgin London Marathon. SUZANNE DUNN and STACY
HEWERDINE were the successful recipients of the places with CRAIG
BONE waiting in the wings as reserve |

committee's proposal to hold membership fees at £15 per annum was
unanimously approved at last night's AGM |

STACY HEWERDINE recorded back-to-back 10km finishes over the
weekend, with the RNLI Reindeer Run at Baggeridge Country park on
Saturday (26th) and the Kemp Hospice Santa 10km run on Sunday (27th).

Three club members completed the Croome Capability Canter to-day at
Croome Park to-day, with SARAH ARMSTRONG winning the ladies

November 27 ~ The
INTER-CLUB RACE LEAGUE PAGE has now been fully updated following last
Sunday's 15th race - the Suicide Six. DAVID WHYMANT and
CRAIG BONE were already confirmed as first & second in the main
league, with GERALDEEN LYNCH currently third. However, should
GERRY SANDERS decide to run at Sneyd, collect his 10 bonus
points for his tenth league race of the year, and Geraldeen doesn't
run, he would pinch the third place spot. In the Ladies League,
GERALDEEN LYNCH and ANITA JONES are confirmed as first &
second, with either SARAH LEWIS, SARAH ARMSTRONG or
RACHEAL MOSS in with a chance of third place depending on one of
them running at Sneyd - so who wants that trophy ? |
