| August 22 ~ Entry forms were picked up tonight for the Goodrich 10km road race on September 16th. This was formerly the Lucas 10km and starts at Goodrich Sports Field, Fordhouses, Wolverhampton. Entry forms are in the club file |
| August 22 ~ RICHARD BAKER makes it 50 races in 2007 as he is the club's only representative at tonight's Vic Musgrove Fast 5km in Telford Town Park. Details are on the RESULTS PAGE. This was the fifth race of Telford AC's Sexarathon series, with one more to come in September. Richard is now off on a well earned holiday |
| August 22 ~ Please note that due to lighting issues, Friday's Guest Run will START at 7.00pm - arrive at the Old Leaking Well pub (see above) in plenty of time to be ready for a slightly earlier, 7.00pm start |

| August 19 ~ Race number 48 of the year for RICHARD BAKER as he completes the Belvedere 10km today in Burton-on-Trent. Details on the RESULTS PAGE |
| August 17 ~ We have received entry forms for the Midland Counties Road Relay Championships to be held at Sutton Park on Saturday 22nd September 2007. Though the club has never taken part in these Championships, they are open to all affiliated clubs - ladies run four legs of 4.315 kms, and the men run six legs of 5.847 kms. If any club members are keen to take part in the 2007 event, please let SHAW PYE or RICHARD BAKER know as quickly as possible - entries have to be in by 3rd September at the latest |

August 15 ~ Members will be saddened to learn that Oswestry Olympians have announced that their Club President DOUG MORRIS has died. Many runners will recognise Doug's name as the organiser of the hugely popular Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon, though he was a prolific race organiser in Shropshire. Doug Morris was also voted Midlands Sports Personality of the Year in 2003 in recognition of his significant contribution to athletics. This year's Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon will still go ahead on September 9th. |
| August 13 ~ The next Guest Run on Friday August 24th will start at the Old Leaking Well pub on the A449, between the Mitre Oak and Ombersley. Distance will be approx 7.1/2 miles. Please use the bottom end of the car park (pub landlord's request) |
| August 13 ~ Please note the annual Quiz and Curry Night will take place at the Aggborough Suite on Friday October 26th at 7.30 pm. As a result, the previously announced Fancy Dress party on October 20th has been cancelled |

| August 8 ~ Race number 47 of the year for RICHARD BAKER at tonight's Staffs Knot 5 miler on Cannock Chase. Richard finished 10 seconds faster than last year after a near suicidal 6:59 first mile, setting his best time for the event. Results to follow ... |

| August 5 ~ Guess what ! It's a scorcher again today for the Tenbury 10km as nine FEET tackle the heat AND that nasty hill at three miles. DAVID WHYMANT finishes as 4th M60, while SHAW PYE is first home for the club despite "taking it easy". Great to see GERRY SANDERS and ROGER CANAVAN there to offer support, as well as non-running partners JANE PYE, Annette Norris & Anna Whymant. Results are already in, and are of course on the RESULTS PAGE |
| August 3 ~ CRAIG LEWIS will be taking a group out next Wednesday (8th) on a long training run of about 10 miles, starting at 7.00 pm. All club members are welcome to join in, though Craig has asked that you are capable of completing 10 miles in under 90 minutes |
| August 1 ~ The Tenbury 10km on Sunday August 5th is definitely ON - entries are available on the day. Please note there are some traffic lights in the main street due to road damage in the floods - allow a little extra time than normal for travel |
