December 31 ~ Fixtures for the 2011 competition can now be found on the INTER-CLUB RACE LEAGUE PAGE. The over-riding factor in the selection for 2011 was to look after member's finances as much as possible, especially given the effect that VAT rises, fuel duty rises and high oil prices will have next year. We have therefore stayed "close to home" as much as possible, but have changed five of the 16 races from last year to keep interest, while two races make their Race League debuts. The three Worcs Championship events are included - the new Droitwich Half Marathon (confirmed), the Shuttle 10km and Stumble multi-terrain. Entry forms and further information can be found at the top of the RACE DIARY PAGE

December 28 ~ After running twice in six weeks, RICHARD BAKER made it two races in two days (sound familiar ?) when he took part in the annual Christmas Pace Race at Coventry, organised by Massey Ferguson Running Club. Sadly, patches of ice on the usual 3.55 mile course at the War Memorial Park meant that the normal event couldn't be held, but a hastily arranged FIVE-LAP course over muddy grass and safer paths was held instead, initially thought to be 5kms but times indicate an even shorter course. Watches were not allowed with the winner being the runner closest to his or her predicted time. Results to follow
December 27 ~ Full results from Wheaton Aston to-day are now available thanks to Brian Smith's new website and can be found on the RESULTS PAGE. Well done to JOHN AMOS & DAVID WHYMANT who both won their categories
December 27 ~ If you're looking for a local 10km next weekend, then why not give the Fladbury Festive Five a try ? Raising funds for the children's playground, the Festive Five route is mainly off-road, along the banks of the River Avon through Fladbury Village and Lower Moor. Further details are on the RACE DIARY PAGE
December 27 ~ The final race of the 2010 Inter-Club Race League sees just four club members brave the cold and the sleet to complete the Wheaton Aston 10km. results are still awaited, but well done to DAVID WHYMANT who confirms his second place finish, and to GERRY SANDERS who completes yet another ever-present season and nicks third place from CRAIG BONE

December 14 ~ Some time around November 25 my long-suffering computer decided to die on me - refusing point blank to fire up when prompted (kicks, karate chops, throwing out of the window - well maybe not the last one). Hence the long delay since the last club website update. Once it's gone, there really isn't anything you can do - can't update anything; can't post any apology, can't contact anyone my e-mail to let them know. On December 4th, my kids bought me a new PC (isn't it great when your kids turn out so wonderful ?) and a couple of days later I was hooked up to the internet and my new e-mails (all others are lost of course). Last weekend I finally got Microsoft Office back - though the 2010 version doesn't have FrontPage - and finally to-day, the missing link was loaded. So, back in business ? Hope so - let's see what happens when I press the necessary buttons ! Apologies for the weeks without your favourite website : please be patient while I catch up with all the recent fantastic news !
December 14 ~ Full details from Sneyd are now on the RESULTS PAGE

December 12 ~ JOHN AMOS decides to forego an ever-present League season and avoid the horrors of Mortimer Forest to take part in the revived Sneyd Christmas Pudding 10. Despite freezing conditions and a dangerous road surface, John finished as second M55, and set a new club M55 10-mile record into the bargain : full details to follow
December 9 ~ Full details from MARK COOPER's run in the Paphos 10km are now on the RESULTS PAGE
December 4 ~ Our ladies also enjoyed their second race of the season in the Midlands Women's League, finishing 24th out of 34 clubs in the snow at Perry Park, Birchfield. Our vets team came home 7th out of 19 teams, and we finished six in the race. Results to follow
December 4 ~ Race two of the 2010/11 Birmingham & District Cross Country League, and another record breaking day for our men's team. We field a total of 20 finishers - our highest ever by 25% - and we finish in FIRST place, beating our previous best of third in November 2010. Not only do we win the day, but sufficiently to also take the overall lead of Division 3 after two of the four races
