Dec 31 ~ Entry forms have been copied and added to the Club File for the Acorns Malvern Half Marathon. Please note this race has been moved from May to Sunday July 1st 2007
Dec 28 ~ The points have been allocated and added up, and the final tables can now be found on the RACE LEAGUE page.
Dec 27 ~ 19 take part in to-day's Wheaton Aston 10km, with CRAIG BONE taking the 2006 Race League title after a 46 second win over SIMON JAROSINSKI. CRAIG, SIMON, JOHN AMOS and GERRY SANDERS complete an ever-present season - JOHN & GERRY for the second successive year, and JOHN for the third time. ELLIE HOOPER is first F50 home, setting a PB AND breaking her own F50 club record. Ellie's nine points gives her third place in the Ladies League behind ANITA JONES and SARAH LEWIS, beating RACHEL WARD by just ONE POINT ! JANE PYE is second F50 home
Dec 23 ~ Issue 2 of UK Athletics "Inspire" magazine has been received. Copies will be available for you at club training after Christmas
Dec 21 ~ Latest news entries from September, October and November have finally been deleted from here, and added to the archive files (access via monthly menu underneath main menu on left)
Dec 20 ~ Entry forms for the Cobra Classic 14km & 4km races on Sunday May 13th have been added to the Club File tonight, as have forms for the Leamington Regency 10km on Sunday April 15th
Dec 20 ~ Richard makes the draw for the clubs Flora London Marathon places tonight ~ well done to our 2006 Ladies Race League ANITA JONES and our Ladies Cross Country Captain SARAH LEWIS who picked up the two guaranteed entries. DAVID PYE is the reserve, and will step up should one of the ladies decide not to go ahead for any reason before February 16th
Dec 19 ~ Forms for the Ironbridge Half Marathon on Sunday March 18th have been added to the Club File
Dec 19 ~ Photos are now available on the FEET IMAGES page from the Merthyr Mawr 10km, Christmas Cracker 8 and Wolverhampton turkey trot, all on December 17th

Dec 18 ~ More results from yesterday : SARAH ARMSTRONG ventured across the border to run the Merthyr Mawr Christmas Pudding 10km Challenge where the first 3/4 mile is straight up a vertical sand dune !  Results are awaited.  Sarah wishes everyone at AFRC a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Dec 18 ~ Well done to JOHN AMOS, who picked up the M50 category prize at yesterday's Turkey Trot 5 in Wolverhampton.  DAVID PYE, LINDSAY PULLEY (10th M60 - no M65 category) and JANE PYE (6th F45 - no F50 category) also completed the race. Full details on the RESULTS page

Dec 18 ~ Entry forms picked up yesterday and now in the Club File for the Ennstone 7 miler on Sunday 18th February 2007 (a new event promoted by Wrekin Road Runners in Town Park, Telford) and the Market Drayton Muller 10km on Sunday 13th May 2007.
Dec 17 ~ The CLUB RECORDS page has been updated to December 17th. Congratulations to CRAIG BONE who set a new M40 5-mile record at the Guy Fawkes 5 in Tewkesbury on November 5th (replacing Brian Humphries 18 month old record); DAVID WHYMANT who replaced Lindsay Pulley's 3.1/2 year old M60 5-mile record at the same Guy Fawkes 5; CRAIG BONE again for surpassing John Amos's 3 year old M45 record at Sneyd on December 10th; DAVID WHYMANT again who set a new M60 10-mile record at Sneyd, replacing Lindsay Pulley's 6 year old record at the same venue; and ELLIE HOOPER who took Jane Pye's five month old record also at Sneyd

Dec 17 ~ SIMON GREGG ran the Christmas Cracker 8 mile multi-terrain race from Tittesworth Reservoir today, organised by Staffs Moorlands AC. See RESULTS page
Dec 17 ~ Results are up from the Sneyd Christmas Pudding 10 last Sunday : 18 FEET completed the race with ELLIE HOOPER finishing as first F50 in a new club record time. DAVID WHYMANT was third M60. Full details on the RESULTS page.

Dec 13 ~ RICHARD BAKER attends an important meeting at Alexander Stadium regarding the new structures in our sport which will come into force next April. If anyone is sufficiently interested in what is happening, please ask Richard - otherwise there will be an item about this in the next club magazine FEET FIRST No. 66 which will hopefully be available at the end of January

Dec 12 ~ Mortimer Forest results have been amended and are now on our RESULTS PAGE. Seems RACHEL WARD collected another category victory, while SARAH ARMSTRONG was third F40 and JANE PYE fifth F50
Dec 10 ~ Entry forms picked up today for the 3rd Tamworth heart 10km on Sunday 18th February and are in the Club File. Entry fee however is a shocking £12 !
Dec 10 ~ Another large club turnout at the Mortimer Forest 10 to-day. Results of a kind are up, but obviously wrong. Watch this space !
Dec 10 ~ It's another huge turnout at the penultimate League race to-day ~ the Sneyd Christmas Pudding 10km. Our wonderful ladies take the team prize (RACHEAL MOSS, ANITA JONES & AMANDA CROFTS). ELLIE HOOPER knocks almost 17 minutes off the club's F50 10-mile record with a PB AND first F50 in the race. ANITA JONES has almost certainly won the Ladies League title to-day ~ we await the results to confirm this. RICHARD BAKER completes his 40th race of the season. CRAIG BONE beats SIMON JAROSINSKI ~ the Race League title will be decided in the final race, currently all square !

Dec 8 ~ Entry forms for the 25th Gloucester New Year 10 on January 7th 2007, Stourbridge Stagger on February 4th 2007 and Hastings Half Marathon on March 11th 2007 have been added to the Club File
Dec 6 ~ The Stafford Half Marathon (Race number 4 in the 2007 Race League) is scheduled for Sunday March 25th (not March 11th as previously listed). RACE LEAGUE page has been changed
Dec 4 ~ Decided at tonight's meeting is the make-up of the 2007 Race League. Out goes the Forest of Dean Half, Halesowen Hillock, Crown Classic, Lake Vyrnwy Half, Sneyd 10 and Wheaton Aston 10km. These are replaced by the Stafford Half, Malvern Half, Trentham 10, Ledbury Chase 13, North Worcs 8 and Mortimer Forest 10. Full details on the RACE LEAGUE page

Dec 4 ~ We have been advised by Telford AC that the Telford Christmas 10km on Sunday December 17th is now FULL and no further entries are being accepted

Dec 3 ~ RICHARD BAKER makes it 39 races for the year at the Centurion RR Winter Grand Prix 5 series today at Chelmsley Wood, Birmingham. Despite a strong wind, Richard recorded a fine 40.02 for the 2.1/2 lap multi-terrain 5 miler
Dec 2 ~ We have received details and entry forms for the Saucony National Cross Country Championships, to be held on Saturday March 10th 2007 in Herrington Country park, Sunderland. First-claim club members are eligible to enter as long as they took part in their Territorial Championships. Papers are with Cross Country Captains SHAW PYE and SARAH LEWIS to whom any queries or interest should be directed
Dec 2 ~ Meanwhile our men's team fielded TWELVE runners in the Birmingham League, Division Four fixture also held at Droitwich. The leading six managed to complete the race in an excellent ninth position out of the 15 clubs ~ our third highest EVER race position. More details on the RESULTS page
Dec 2 ~ Well done to all our Cross Country runners today. The ladies fielded a marvellous SEVEN runners as they finished in 15th position out of 20 teams in the Midland Womens League race at Droitwich. We also finished as fifth veterans team. More details on the RESULTS page
