| Feb 26 ~ Massive congratulations to SARAH ARMSTRONG and RACHEL WARD who represented Worcestershire at the UK Inter Counties Cross-Country Championships at Wollaton Park last Saturday (24th). Sarah was the fifth finisher for the county, with Rachel just behind as the sixth finisher for the county. Full details on the RESULTS PAGE. Comments are on the RACE REPORTS page |
| Feb 26 ~ We have received entry forms for the Dymock Half Marathon on May 27th, Crowle Gunpowder Plot 10km on May 6th, the brand new Magic Roundabout 10km and 5km at the Begwyns, Hay-on-Wye also on May 27th and the Sinfin Classic 10km on June 3rd. All are in the Club File |
| Feb 25 ~ Entry forms picked up to-day at the Bourton-on-the-Water 10km for a series of short races in Coventry (May Day 5 on Monday May 7th, Midsummer 5 on Wednesday June 27th, Autumnal 5 on Friday August 31st and New Year New 10km on Tuesday January 1st) and the 4th Bourton-on-the-Water Hilly Half on Saturday June 30th. These are now in the Club File which will be at training this week, and at the ROC 8 on Sunday |

| Feb 18 ~ Entry forms were picked up today for two more Wrekin Road Runners events ~ the Schneider 5 on May 6th (formerly the Ice Rink 5) and the excellent Crown Classic 10km on Friday July 20th. Both are in the Club File, which should be at training on Wednesday this week |

| Feb 17 ~ Our cross country men's team finish the 2006/7 season well, also at Stafford Common, with seven turning out on what is traditionally a difficult final race to entice runners to. SHAW PYE led the seven home - full results are awaited, but what we have is on the RESULTS PAGE |
| Feb 17 ~ The final cross country League races of the 2006/7 season see our girls finish well, despite a seriously weakened team due to half-term holidays. RACHEAL MOSS led home SARAH LEWIS, JANE PYE and SUZANNE DUNN (who became our first non-veteran lady to run this season). Our vets finished the season in third place overall ! | Feb 15 ~ We have been advised that a number of reserved places are available for the Great Manchester Run (10km) to be held on Sunday 20th may 2007 on a first come first served basis. You must have run sub 38 minutes (men) or sub 44 minutes (women) over the last 12 months to qualify. 150 places are available - guaranteed but not complimentary. | Feb 14 ~ At an after-training meeting tonight it was decided to re-schedule the 2007 ROC Fencing Wyre Forest 8 - this will now take place on Sunday March 4th at 11.00. All entrants for the original date can take part using their original number. Anyone who cannot now take part will receive a refund. There will be place available to anyone who can run on this new date ~ entry forms are available and you have two weeks to get them in to us in the usual way. At this time, there will be no entries on the day |

| Feb 11 ~ Apologies to the 10 athletes who turned up at the Wyre Forest this morning. Club members managed to contact over 390 entries on Saturday to advise that the race was unfortunately off, which we believe was a superb effort. Incidentally, those who ran all or part of the ROC 8 course this morning unanimously agreed that the cancellation was the right decision |

Feb 1 ~ Seems we
had an eighteenth member running in last Sunday's first League race at
Stratford-upon-Avon. GERRY SANDERS, who I did see on the
day, was listed in the results as a Road Runners Club member - hence
the reason why his time was missed. RESULTS PAGE has been updated, the
Race League will be amended in the next day or two
