February 25 ~ News on Birmingham's three races for 2009 from the local press : over 200 entries have already been received for the Birmingham Mail 5km Fun Run on May 3rd : The 8.5 mile Great Midlands Fun Run (formerly the Sutton Fun Run) takes place on May 31st with a race limit of 6,000 and closing date of April 11th : The second Birmingham half marathon is set to take place on October 11th over a flatter course than in 2008, which should please the half dozen FEET who ran in this event in 2008
February 25 ~ Well done to all 306 of you who came to our back yard on Sunday February 15th and completed the Runaround Wyre Forest 8. This was the thirteenth running of our premier event, and the first time the race was sponsored by Runaround Sports of Top Barn, Worcester. Thanks for your continued support of this event. Results are currently on the D-K 10km website, and will be available in full on our website in the next couple of days. Congratulations to our 2009 Champions TOM KENDERDINE of Halesowen A&CC who won this race for the first time in 51.13, and to LUCY APHRAMOR of Kenilworth Runners who collected her third ladies title in seven years in 59.19
February 24 ~ Further news from the weekend, with GEORGE STERRY-MacDONALD completing the Weston Tough 10 race on Sunday 22nd and finishing well inside the top 20% of the field. Full details are on our RESULTS PAGE
February 23 ~ IAN HALL and DAVID PYE were also competing on Sunday (22nd) when they both took part in the Draycote Water 35 mile ultra-marathon, David finishing as fifth M50. February 23 ~ Two more AMAZING FEET members were out competing yesterday, as CRAIG BONE and PETER TROW tackled Pewsey Vale RC's wonderfully named Terminator race - 11-ish miles according to their website, lots of mud, ditches, hills and a stream to cross to finish according to Craig. February 23 ~ On a busy day for our runners, GERALDEEN LYNCH completed the fast and flat Bourton-on-the-Water 10km yesterday in a time of 46.56, which is just ONE SECOND outside her 10km PB which she set at Fradley in 2007. Again, full details are available, and can be found on our RESULTS PAGE
February 23 ~ Congratulations to JEAN MAFFEI who ran in yesterday's Action Heart 5 at Dudley and set a new F45 club record in the process. Her time of 37.02 removed the previous record of 40.37 which had been set by JANE PYE in the Wolverhampton Turkey Trot in 2004. Jean also finished as third F45 in the race, which also included EMMA HORNBY. Full details are already available and can be found on our RESULTS PAGE
February 23 ~ Apologies for the lack of updates since February 11th : there are not many things that keep me away from AMAZING FEET business, but a week in the Lake District is certainly top of the short list
February 11 ~ DAVID PYE has been added to the Stourbridge Stagger results from Sunday (8th). we also know that ANDY NORRIS ran, but cannot find him in the results
February 11 ~ We have added entry forms for the Stourbridge Stumble on Saturday June 13th to the Club File, which will be at training this evening
February 10 ~ Results are in from Sunday's Stourbridge Stagger, and well done to our eight finishers on the day. EMMA HORNBY finished as third lady (and came second in the F35 category) and CRAIG BONE finished as 5th M45. February 9 ~ Entry forms were picked up at the Stagger yesterday for the excellent Asics Arden 9 on June 14th at Hampton-in-Arden, Solihull. These are now in the Club File
February 8 ~ Well done also to those who staggered around Stourbridge's annual 10.5 mile mix of mud, snow and sand. Results are still awaited and will be up on the RESULTS PAGE as soon as they are available
February 8 ~ It had to be total madness, but well done anyway to CRAIG LEWIS, PETER TROW and RICHARD HAYNES who all completed the Long Mynd Valleys Fell race today (8th). At 11.5 miles long with 5000 feet of ascent the race is regarded as a toughie at any time, but just visit Dawsy's fell site at www.myweb.tiscali.co.uk/fellrunner and follow the links to the race photos. February 7 ~ Please note that tomorrow's 21st anniversary Dursley Dozen race has been cancelled due to snow and icy surfaces. The Stourbridge Stagger will take place as far as we know, but the race has been declared full and there will be NO entries on the day

February 2 ~ Further entry forms have been added to the Club File :: Aldridge 10km & 5km on June 7th, the Blakedown Bolt 10km on Friday June 19th (entries for Blakedown to RICHARD BAKER please) and the 50th anniversary Derwentwater 10 on November 1st
February 2 ~ Tonight's committee meeting has been postponed to prevent members travelling in the atrocious weather conditions. It will be re-scheduled during the next few days, weather permitting
February 1 ~ Well done to those nine members who completed to-day's Mayhill Massacre 8 mile multi-terrain race, the second event in the 2009 Inter-Club Race League. EMMA HORNBY finished as fifth lady and ANDY NORRIS was 5th M60. Other finishers were CRAIG BONE, JOHN AMOS, IAN HALL, MARK BAILEY, GERRY SANDERS, PETER TROW and SUZANNE DUNN. February 1 ~ RICHARD BAKER and MARK COOPER repeat their January efforts at to-day's Centurion RC Grand Prix 5 miler, the fourth in the series. Richard was just under a minute slower than last month, while Mark was around one and a half minutes faster on a bitterly cold, but bright and sunny morning.
