January 31 ~ The second event of the 2009 Inter-Club Race League takes place tomorrow (Sunday February 1st) with the Mayhill Massacre race. Good luck to all those taking part in what is a new League Race for the club
January 31 ~ Thanks to SIMON GREGG for the following information :: individual entries are now open for the JW 30 mile Ultra Relay from Stratford to Birmingham.  These entries are limited and will fill up quickly. Entries for the three-leg relay event which included three AMAZING FEET teams in 2008 should open within the next week
January 30 ~ Once again, RICHARD BAKER has negotiated a GUARANTEED block entry with organisers of the popular BLAKEDOWN BOLT 10km which takes place this year on Friday June June 19th at 7.15. We were the largest single club entry in 2008 and hopefully will again be able to beat the rest. PLEASE RETURN YOUR RACE ENTRY FORMS TO RICHARD BAKER when you are ready, but preferably as soon as possible. If we use up our agreed allocation early enough, we will be able to increase the number. Cheques OR cash also to Richard, and he will make one block entry direct to the race organisers later in the spring. Any queries, just contact Richard
January 29 ~ If anyone is looking for a late entry into Sunday's Mayhill Massacre (the second League race of 2009), ELLIE HOOPER has one up for grabs as she will not be able to take part due to injury

January 24 ~ More entry forms added to the Club File : the excellent 7 Pools Run 10km in Sutton Park on March 29th, Draycote Water 5 also on March 29th and the Golden Gate 10km at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire on May 31st
January 22 ~ Results from the men's cross country league race at Nuneaton last week are now available on the CROSS COUNTRY PAGES
January 21 ~ All remaining club members who were not at training last Monday, the Presentation Evening last Friday or the Not The Roman IX last Sunday have now been sent their 2009 AMAZING FEET diaries by second class post : should be with you all by Saturday. If anyone has not received their free diary, or indeed wants another one for any reason, let RICHARD BAKER know as there are some spare copies
January 21 ~ We have received no information from our ladies cross country runners after last Saturday's third League race at Coventry, but full details are now up on the RESULTS PAGE. Congratulations to our vet ladies who finished in third place out of 11 teams, level on points with second placed Halesowen A&CC
January 19 ~ Congratulations to KEVIN and JULIE DRAPER, who both successfully completed last weekend's (January 11th) Walt Disney Marathon in the States. We understand that both recorded PB's and both finished within the top 25% of a 14,953 field. Details are on the RESULTS PAGE
January 19 ~ We have received entry forms from Kidderminster & Stourport AC for their Treat multi-terrain 8, which is later this year on March 22nd. Entry forms are now in the Club File
January 19 ~ Results are now available from yesterday's Not The Roman IX 12km at Stratford, and full details are on the RESULTS PAGE. Apologies to IAN HALL who was definitely there, making our total number 11 (in fact we spoke after the race, so cannot understand why he was missed off the list yesterday). Our three musketeers (CRAIG BONE, JOHN AMOS & DAVID WHYMANT) finished as 10th male team, while ELLIE HOOPER, ANITA JONES and JANE PYE (er sorry, SUZANNE DUNN) finished 11th in the ladies team event
January 18 ~ Entry forms were picked up today for the Shakespeare Raceway 10km on Saturday March 7th, and the Banbury 15 road race on March 8th. These are now in the Club File

January 18 ~ We think the number at to-day's first 2009 Race League event was a disappointing 10, though coming the day after the Cross Country races this may not be surprising. CRAIG BONE, JOHN AMOS, DAVID WHYMANT, DAVID PYE, GERRY SANDERS, RICHARD BAKER, MARK COOPER, ELLIE HOOPER, ANITA JONES and SUZANNE DUNN were all spotted : results to follow
January 17 ~ The third round of the Birmingham & District Invitation Cross Country League took place today at Nuneaton, with ten of our men turning out for the club. PHIL WEBER, RICHARD DILWORTH, RUSSELL WILDING, STEVE CLARK, DAVID WHYMANT and MARK PEARMAN were the scorers, while IAN HALL, DAVID PYE, ROGER CANAVAN and WULSTAN ALDERMAN provided the vital ingredient of pushing other clubs' scorers down the finishing charts : Positions are on the MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PAGE with times to follow when available
January 17 ~ Our ladies take part in the third round of the Midland Womens Cross Country League at Coventry : details will follow as soon as they are available
January 16 ~ We have received the UK Athletics Multi-Terrain Race Licence to-day : Licence number is 11474
January 16 ~ The main award, our Runner of the Year 2008, goes for the second time in three years to DAVID WHYMANT. RICHARD BAKER moves up from third last year to runner-up this time, while the 2005 winner SHAW PYE finishes third
January 16 ~ Another close vote in the Most Improved Runner of the Year category sees JEAN MAFFEI take the trophy, just two votes ahead of SUZANNE DUNN. IAN HALL finishes in third
January 16 ~ It's a runaway victory for the Best Newcomer award, as the popular GERALDEEN LYNCH takes the title with over 50% of the vote. MARK COOPER comes second, with STEVE CLARKE and EMMA HORNBY joint third
January 16 ~ In a close run vote, CRAIG LEWIS wins the Club Person of the Year award, taking the honour for the second time in three years. MARTIN CHILDE finishes second and last year's joint-winner RICHARD BAKER is third
January 16 ~ It's our big night of the year tonight as the Aggborough Suite hosts our annual awards and presentation evening. A good turnout see the Cross Country representative medals, Worcestershire County Champions medals, Race League trophies and of course the four Runner of the Year trophies presented to the winners
January 8 ~ Don't forget the PRESENTATION EVENING on Friday January 16th at the Aggborough Suite : all the 2008 trophies and medals will be presented, live music from Dave & Co, and an excellent buffet supper : FREE TO MEMBERS, £7.50 to guests (the cost of the food). PLEASE LET JANE PYE know whether you are coming or not (why wouldn't you?) so we can ensure enough food is ordered
January 8 ~ THE 2009 DIARIES HAVE ARRIVED !  100 pocket diaries were delivered today and will be available at training on Monday (ahead of the January committee meeting) and again at the Presentation Evening on Monday 16th. They will also be at the Not The Roman IX race on Sunday 18th and any not claimed will be posted out after that. If you are not going to be at any of the above three events, let RICHARD BAKER know and your diary will be posted out to you now
January 7 ~ We have received entry forms for the Dudley-Kingswinford 10km on Wednesday 6th May which are now in the Club File. Sadly not in the Race League this year, this race is still the largest mid-week 10km in the region, and fills up early, so let's ensure a large club entry once again

January 6 ~ Having updated the Sneyd Christmas Pudding 10 results, we have also now finally updated the RACE LEAGUE PAGE to show the final positions for the season nine. The 2008 trophy winners have also been added now to the updated PREVIOUS RACE LEAGUE WINNERS PAGE
January 6 ~ Finally, we have updated the results from the final league race of 2008 at Sneyd (December 14th). Thanks again to BRIAN SMITH of DKRC who not only took the changes made by Sneyd RR into account, but ensured that our missing ladies were also listed in their correct time positions. January 5 ~ Tomorrow is definitely the final day for club members to vote for their Runner of the Year. Most Improved Runner, Best Newcomer and Club Person of the Year in order that we can get trophies engraved ready for the Presentation Evening on the 16th.
