July 31 ~ RICHARD BAKER is the only club member at tonight's Kingsbury 12km race at Kingsbury Water Park over a two-lap multi-terrain course on grass, paths and tracks. Details are on the RESULTS PAGE : full results to follow

July 30 ~ Our two "Race League Kings" are both looking forward to significant anniversaries next month. JOHN AMOS will take part (injuries willing) in his 150th Club League race at the Stourbridge Stumble on Saturday August 14th. However, before that, GERRY SANDERS will clock up his incredible 100th CONSECUTIVE Club League race in the Tenbury 10km on Sunday August 8th. All members should attend to witness this momentous achievement !
July 30 ~ For the first time, it looks likely that we have sufficient interest amongst the club members to take part in the Midlands 6-stage road relays in Sutton Park, Birmingham on Saturday 25th September. We haven't received any entry forms yet, but if you are keen in taking part (we can enter as many teams as we like). NEV WATSON is the man collating this one ~ e-mail him or speak to him if you are interested in taking part (legs are 6km long)

July 30 ~ Just spotted one of our members in the Enville Athletic FC 10km (July 25th) results : DAVID PYE finished as second M55. Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE
July 28 ~ After 10 days off, RICHARD BAKER returns to racing tonight at the West Bromwich harriers 5km. This was Richard's 40th race of the year : details are on the RESULTS PAGE with full results to follow
July 24 ~ Another excellent performance from GERALDEEN LYNCH as she finishes 4th in her category at tonight's Gloucester Half Marathon. The only club member at the event, Geraldeen recorded her fastest time on the hilly Gloucester course. Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE
July 19 ~ Ah - don't you just love it when families do things together ? Like Sunday lunch, or a visit to the Safari Park ? Or indeed, the Fairlands Valley Challenge, which saw the PYES taking part last weekend. JANE PYE opted fort he 12 mile event, while SHAW & DAVID PYE not unexpectedly went for the full marathon distance. Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE, and Jane's report is on the RACE REPORTS PAGE
July 18 ~ The latest event in the club's annual Race League sees eight members complete the flat three-lap Worcester Pitchcroft 10km. Amongst an unusually large field of over 250 finishers, both JOHN AMOS and DAVID WHYMANT finish as runners-up in their respective categories. GERALDEEN LYNCH and RICHARD BAKER both finish third in their categories. Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE
July 16 ~ All the points scored in Wednesday's Droitwich 10km have now been added up and the RACE LEAGUE PAGE has now been updated ahead of Sunday's next outing at Worcester Pitchcroft
July 15 ~ Hooray, it's back !!  The real runners only alternative to the Mortimer Forest 10 has returned, and the Sneyd Christmas Pudding 10 will take place this year on December 12th. Beware though, it is now a TWO-LAP 10 miler, and the entry fee is a Government cutback busting £12 ! Entry forms are in the club file NOW
July 15 ~ By completing tonight's Ashorne Attack 7.5 miler, RICHARD BAKER has, for the second time in three weeks managed to complete a sequence of six races in six different counties in nine days ! For the record, this latest set of six were Hungarton 7 (Leicestershire), Rowheath 5km (West Midlands), Crown Classic (Shropshire), Frampton 10km (Gloucestershire), Droitwich 10km (Worcestershire) and Ashorne Attack 7.5 (Warwickshire)
July 15 ~ Another outing for RICHARD BAKER as he takes part in the Ashorne Attack 7.5 mile road race organised by Kenilworth Runners as part of their club race league. Details so far are on the RESULTS PAGE : full results to follow

July 14 ~ An excellent 10km tonight hosted by Droitwich AC - the third race in the Worcestershire Mid-Week league, and race seven in our own Race League. Eight members turned out on a lovely evening, racing over an undulating 10km course along lovely country lanes from Gaudet Luce Golf Club. Results to follow
July 12 ~ After three disappointing results last week, RICHARD BAKER roared back to an amazing result at tonight's Frampton 10km, recording his fastest 10km time since SEPTEMBER 2002 ! Details are on the RESULTS PAGE : full results to follow
July 12 ~ Full details from last Friday's Crown Classic are now available and on the RESULTS PAGE. RICHARD BAKER came home as second M55, annoyingly just TWO SECONDS behind the first M55 and THREE SECONDS away from his first EVER category win !
July 11 ~ Two club members completed to-day's Wyre Forest Half Marathon, sponsored by Banbury Doors & Windows : CRAIG BONE and RACHID TAIBI. DAVID PYE also ran the full course as official last man. Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE
July 11 ~ Well done to the 180 runners who braved yet another hot & sunny day to complete the 10th Wyre Forest half marathon to-day, organised by the club, and sponsored for the first time by Banbury Doors & Windows. July 9 ~ RICHARD BAKER makes it 35 races for the year at tonight's Crown Classic, almost certainly the last time the race will be held on the current course, as a new school is being built across the steep footpath from Dawley town centre down to Town Park. July 9 ~ Coming up this weekend is the Crown Classic 10km TONIGHT, run from the Crown pub in Dawley, Telford over an out and back course taking in roads and tracks in Town Park. Wrekin Road Runners have said this may be the last Crown Classic, so it could be your last chance to take part in this long established race. Also tonight is the excellent Colin Potter 10km in Derby.  Despite several events on Sunday 11th, all hand will be at the Wyre Forest for our own half marathon, the tenth anniversary race. Monday 12th sees the fabulously flat and fast Frampton 10km, which has long been declared as full

July 8 ~ Another race for RICHARD BAKER as he completes the second in the three-race Rowheath Midsummer 5km series. Richard's line-to-line time in June was 24.08 : this time he finished in 24:09 ! Full results to follow
July 7 ~ RICHARD BAKER is back in race action, taking part in the very popular Hungarton 7 mile road race in Leicestershire : results to follow
July 5 ~ The club committee meets at the King and Castle pub, with all four current members present. Main topic of conversation is of course next Sunday's half marathon

July 3 ~ The only club member taking part in this year's Stratford Summer 6 to-day was RICHARD BAKER who has now completed a strange sequence of running six races in six different Midlands counties in just nine days. For the record, they are Blakedown Bolt (Worcestershire), Gate Gallop (Staffordshire), Worthington 5 (Leicestershire), Ironbridge 4.2 (Shropshire), Aerospace 5 (Gloucestershire) and Stratford Summer 6 (Warwickshire)
July 2 ~ A strange weekend ahead, with the Shifnal Steeplechase half marathon the only local event on this Sunday (4th). [Compare this with our half marathon next weekend, when there are around SEVEN local events]. Shifnal is an excellent event, and well worth having a go if you are up to half marathon distance. Failing that, the superb Stratford Summer 6 at Wilncote is your other option, held on Saturday evening at 7.30 and offering a chance to escape the World Cup
July 2 ~ As club members will be aware, we are promoting our second race of the year next Sunday (July 11th) with the Wyre Forest half marathon, which annually attracts upwards of 270 runners. We still need marshals urgently : please go to the MEMBERS NEWS PAGE for more information
July 2 ~ Finally, results from last Friday's Blakedown Bolt (June 25th) are now available and full details are on the RESULTS PAGE. AMAZING FEET had a successful race, with SARAH ARMSTRONG taking the Ladies title and LOUISE MASSEY finishing third. JOHN AMOS finished as M55 Champion, and of our 16 finishers we had a further seven top five category finishers. The Race League will be updated after one anomaly has been sorted out
