| July 3 ~ One unforeseen drawback of RICHARD BAKER's 30/30 challenge, is the fact that it has hastened the arrival of Richard's 1,000th career race. This will now happen at the Colin Potter Memorial 10km in Derby tomorrow evening, Friday July 4th. Last night's Ironbridge 4 and a bit was Richard's 999th career race. Says Richard "The plan was to mark the occasion on some gorgeous Lakeland fell later in the year, but then along came this nonsense to race 30 times in June, and the plan is out the window. Never mind, Friday it is - I did the Colin Potter 10km last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, so bring on number 1,000 ! I plan to have a good night" |
