| July 29 ~ Picked up details of a new event at Runaround Sports, Top Barn on Wednesday 26th August : the Strawberries and Cream 10km M/T. A bowl of Strawberries and cream to each finisher : sounds good to us. Forms are in the Club File, or you can download from the Runaround site |
| July 29 ~ Apologies to DAVID PYE and SIMON GREGG : their Race League positions are slightly higher than they were, and have now been adjusted. | July 29 ~ Another result just received from last weekend : LOUISE MASSEY completed the Enville Athletic FC 10km on Sunday (26th) finishing as second lady in 53.29 |
| July 28 ~ Great to hear from SHAW PYE who has e-mailed us with some of his recent race results. Shaw has joined Fairlands Valley Spartans as second claim club. First up was the Hatfield Business Park Charity 5km where Mr Pye finished the race in FIRST PLACE ! Oh, and you do have to check out Mr Pye's new race kit ! Next up on July 2nd was the Herts and Essex Mid-Week League 7 miler at St Albans, and finally the Harlow 10 last Sunday (26th) where Shaw came home 15th out of 460 finishers. | July 27 ~ If you were planning to travel to Wombourne on Wednesday evening for the 5km time trial, we would suggest you don't, as the race has been cancelled - seems nobody can find a key to the gate ! |

| July 26 ~ Interesting programme repeated to-day on the Welsh speaking channel S4C this afternoon of the International Snowdon Race last weekend. Sadly, there was no sign of our intrepid three 'mountaineers', although there was possibly a distant view of Sarah's vest at one stage |
| July 26 ~ Seven of our members travelled down to Gloucester last night (25th) to complete the eleventh race in the 2009 Club Race League, the Gloucester half marathon. | July 24 ~ RICHARD BAKER continues to defy everything ever written about our sport, by posting his fastest 5 mile time for almost SIX years at tonight's Notts 5 - this despite never training, and two pints in the Trip to Jerusalem, England's oldest pub (allegedly) just 90 minutes before the race. | July 23 ~ Entry forms are now available for the 2009 Bells of Pattingham Run, the 14th event in this year's Race League. Forms are in the Club File, or you can download them from the BOP website. Entries before October 9th cost a fairly high £10, but after that date will be a ridiculous £16 ~ must be giving everybody a full fruit cake this year instead of a slice ! |

| July 22 ~ The two busiest club members were out again tonight at the West Bromwich Harriers 5km ay Aston University Playing Fields in Birmingham. MARK COOPER (4 races in 10 days) and RICHARD BAKER (4 races in 9 days) completed the two-lap twisting grass course - a summer cross country race ! | July 21 ~ Now that Worcester AC have got the Pitchcroft 10km out of the way, entry forms are available for the fabulous Malvern Beacon race on Saturday October 10th. The 7 mile long run winds it's way up and over the Malverns, taking in 1,395 feet of ascent and offering the most wonderful views from the top. Entry forms are available in the Club File, or from the Worcester AC website |
| July 20 ~ Well done to the three club members who raced at the third Worcs. Mid-Week league event last Wednesday (15th) at Droitwich. PHIL WOOD was 5th M40, ANITA JONES 4th F40, and MARK COOPER added yet another race to his recent flurry of activity. Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE |
| July 20 ~ Congratulations to our three "Mountain Goats" who completed the 34th International Snowdon race on Saturday (18th) ~ 10 miles straight up and down the mountain. CRAIG LEWIS, RICHARD HAYNES and SARAH LEWIS all finished and details are on the RESULTS PAGE |
| July 20 ~ Yesterday (19th) was the big one for RACHEL WARD as she completed the Bedford Classic Triathlon - one of only three qualifiers for the age group World Championships to be held in Brisbane, Australia in September. Rachel finished 4th in her age group, and subsequently qualified for the World Champs, as well as next year's European Championships in Athlone in July. Strangely, despite the usual electronic timing, results are not yet up, but details supplied by Rachel are on the RESULTS PAGE |

| July 20 ~ Another local race yesterday (19th) and another lone club member taking part : KEVIN DRAPER completed the 7-mile Rubery Rumble which this year was being run in reverse. | July 20 ~ Worcester AC have the Pitchcroft 10km results up from yesterday, and MARK COOPER is confirmed as having a brand new 10km PB at 48.53 (his first sub-50 at the distance). Full details are up on the RESULTS PAGE |
| July 19 ~ Seems MARK COOPER has been out and about racing as much as RICHARD BAKER in the last couple of weeks. Mark ran the Rowheath Midweek series 5km on Thursday July 9th, completed the 'very hilly' Wellington 10km (near Taunton) on Sunday 12th, and finished with a massive 10km PB at to-day's Pitchcroft 10km at Worcester ~ his first time under 50 minutes. | July 19 ~ RICHARD BAKER makes it three 10km's in seven days as he records his best ever time at to-day's Chasewater 10km. His line-to-line time of 49.00 is remarkably exactly the same as his line-to-line time at Friday's Crown Classic. Full results to follow |

| July 17 ~ Another good performance from RICHARD BAKER tonight as he records his best Crown Classic time in six attempts going back to 2002. Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE. Richard met up with one of our former top runners and previous Race League champion at Telford - BRIAN HUMPHRIES, looking fit and well. Brian is still not running, but watched the race and was interested in all the news and gossip from the club |
| July 15 ~ SIMON GREGG is the only club member at tonight's Stiperstones fell race - 3.2 miles and 800 feet of ascent according to the Mercia Fell Runners website. This was Simon's first race since the Windermere Marathon back in May - nothing like coming back with a bang ! Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE |
| July 13 ~ RICHARD BAKER pulls out another sub-48 finish at the ever-popular and ever-fast Frampton cider 10km. The only club member there this year, Richard was seen tucking into a glass of cider (better than a medal) AND a burger within 10 minutes of finishing ! Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE |
| July 13 ~ AMAZING FEET RC would like to thank ALL of its' members, their friends & families and those friends of the club who turned out yesterday to marshal or help in any way at the Sweatshop half marathon. Without you all the event would be impossible, and your help is gratefully appreciated |
| July 13 ~ A massive thank you to the 295 athletes out there who entered yesterday's Sweatshop Wyre Forest half marathon, and congratulations to the 251 finishers on a wonderful morning with ideal weather conditions. 2009 SWFH Champion was D-K RC's IAN MANSELL for the second time in three years, with MICHELLE CLARK of Telford Harriers winning the Ladies title. | July 4 ~ Just four FEET made the short trip to the Stratford 6 on a lovely summer evening for the tenth League Race of 2009. JOHN AMOS was first home, pulling back another point on League leader GERRY SANDERS, who remains ever-present. RICHARD BAKER was next, followed by the Ladies League leader SUZANNE DUNN who collected a full ten points with no other ladies present. Details to follow on the RESULTS PAGE |
| July 3 ~ RICHARD BAKER was back in action again at tonight's Colin Potter Memorial 10km - his third successive visit, but his slowest time so far. Details to follow on the RESULTS PAGE |
