March 23 ~ Congratulations to RACHEL WARD, who set the previously vacant F50 20 mile club record at Rhayader on Saturday. Rachel also holds the F45 20 mile record. We should also acknowledge another record set at Rhayader, but in March 2008 when DAVID PYE lowered his own M55 20 mile record set at Rhayader in 2007, by over 27 minutes. Full details are now on the CLUB RECORDS PAGE
March 23 ~ With thanks to Steve Smith of K&S AC, full details from yesterday's Treat 8 are now available and on the RESULTS PAGE
March 23 ~ Full results from the Rhayader 20 are now available and on our RESULTS PAGE. Congratulations to RACHEL WARD who finished as first F50, and thanks to IAN HALL for sending the results
March 22 ~ A glorious spring morning and a bone dry course turned the 2009 Treat into a fantastic race. KEVIN DRAPER, IAN HALL (yes, less than 24 hours after completing Rhayader) and RICHARD BAKER were the three club members talking part. Full results are awaited, details so far are on the RESULTS PAGE
March 22 ~ Injuries and new jobs took their toll today, as only FOUR club members turned out for the latest Inter-Club League race, the lowest ever turnout. JOHN AMOS, JEAN MAFFEI, GERRY SANDERS and COLIN FRANCE are those who collected high points tallies. Full details are already available, and on the RESULTS PAGE
March 21 ~ We have added entry forms for the Hereford Crocodile 8 on May 24th to the Club File

March 17 ~ One new member was confirmed at last night's committee meeting : CORIN ELLIOTT has rejoined the club. Welcome back !
March 17 ~ As a result of losing SHAW PYE there are now TWO places available on the club committee should anybody be interested in joining us (meetings once a month at the Land Oak). As Shaw also looked after the club kit, we are also looking for anyone who may be keen or interested to take over this role, either as a committee member or not. Please contact RICHARD BAKER or JOHN AMOS if you are interested in either
March 16 ~ It's the latest committee meeting held tonight at the Land Oak. The committee's main business was to reluctantly accept a resignation from SHAW PYE who moved to Hertfordshire yesterday to pursue a new career as a personal trainer. The committee would like to publicly thank Shaw for all his hard work and enthusiasm as a committee member, and to wish him all the best for his new life. Shaw remains a club member, and will no doubt be seen flying the AMAZING FEET flag in the future
March 15 ~ Congratulations to PETER TROW who completed the Peopleton duathlon to-day :: details to follow
March 11 ~ After an absence of five years, the Shenstone 10km fun run is back on June 14th. sadly this afternoon race has now switched to a more usual morning start, and weighs in with a hefty £12 entry fee. Forms are in the Club File if you want them
March 11 ~ Great news as two of the very best autumn half marathons have avoided each other. The Lake Vyrnwy half, one of the flattest and most picturesque half marathons, returns on September 13th, while the Great Langdale half and marathon, definitely the most picturesque race, though it has hills to die for, has moved back a week this year to September 20th. Entry forms for both are in the Club File
March 11 ~ Well, it seems publication of SARAH ARMSTRONG setting a new club record at Gloucester on Sunday has sparked some requests for updates on the record page. First up is JEAN MAFFEI who set a new F45 10-mile record at Sneyd back in December 2008, wiping out JANE PYE's 2004 record on the same course by over seven minutes. Next up was RACHEL WARD who smashed her own F45 20 mile club record at Stafford in March 2008 by over eleven minutes ! Sadly for SARAH, this means that the overall ladies 20 mile record was held by RACHEL after Stafford 2008, and her time of 2:33.09 was 2.1/2 minutes faster than SARAH's time. SARAH does still hold the F40 club record though. Phew - CLUB RECORDS PAGE has been updated
March 10 ~ We have received entry forms for the Loch Ness Marathon and 10km on Sunday October 4th. There is no ballot system this year for the marathon, simply a first come first served entry system until the race limit is reached or the closing date of May 1st is reached. Forms are in the Club File
March 9 ~ Full results from the Gloucester 20 yesterday (8th) are now on the RESULTS PAGE
March 9 ~ SARAH ARMSTRONG re-wrote the record books at the Gloucester 20 yesterday. Her time of 2:35.38 was a PB to begin with, and also goes into the club records as the F40 20-mile record (seems we hadn't had one before). In addition, Sarah has now erased RUTH MILES from the record books, having beaten her time by just 16 seconds ! Sarah now holds the F35 and F40 20-mile records, with her F40 time almost SIX minutes faster than her F35 time of three years ago. Full details are on the CLUB RECORDS PAGE
March 8 ~ Well done to the 8 club members who took part in the Gloucester 20 today, the third race in the 2009 Inter-Club Race League. Results are still awaited, but details as far as we have them are on the RESULTS PAGE

March 6 ~ The 9th Sweatshop Wyre Forest half marathon will take place on Sunday July 12th as previously advised. The SWEATSHOP WYRE FOREST HALF PAGE has been updated and there is an entry form available to download : follow the links to the left
March 6 ~ There is an error in the results listing from the Runaround Wyre Forest 8 with a slip-up resulting in a non-runner being given position number 64. In 64th position was in fact DAVID BARRETT (number 152) in 65.29 : we apologise to David for the error and would confirm that the results listing will be amended shortly, as it also affects category positions in both M40 and M50 sections, as well as the male team positions
March 2 ~ It looks as though celebratory 'end of season' parties are being organised for our cross country teams. This is being done via the Forum, so any of you who don't use the Forum but may be interested should contact the Cross Country captains for more information
March 2 ~ A massive "WELL DONE" to our Cross Country captains IAN HALL and SARAH LEWIS for leading their teams through successful seasons, and brilliant final efforts from both the boys and the girls at Stafford Common on valentine's Day (Feb 14th for those without romance). Our men climbed from 12th to 10th on the final day, while our veteran ladies came home as race WINNERS with our overall ladies team finishing seventh. The CROSS COUNTRY PAGES have more detail, individual results and reports
March 1 ~ Thanks to BRIAN SMITH at DKRC for publishing the Runaround Wyre Forest 8 results in my absence. The full and complete results listing, including all category positions and team results, are now available on our RUNAROUND WYRE FOREST 8 PAGE
