May 30 ~ A disappointing turnout of just 9 meet up at the Swan in Blakedown for NIC HYDE's excellent guest run over parts of both the Bolt and Stagger courses with some strength sapping hills and mind-blowing views. MIKE WARREN back home from Bristol joined us, as did TED SNIK who used to be in the original AMAZING FEET many years ago ~ a true 'guest' run
May 29 ~ Entry forms for several events have been added to the Club File :: Bourton-on-the-Water hilly half on Saturday June 28th, Belvedere 10km (Burton-on-Trent) on August 31st, Tenbury 10km on August 3rd and Dorridge Fun Run on June 7th. The Club File will be at tomorrow night's guest run from the Swan at Blakedown
May 29 ~ The Gavin Tipper (D-K) 5km race on Thursday June 5th IS NOW FULL !  JOHN AMOS and RICHARD BAKER are the only FEET on the entry listing
May 29 ~ With apologies to CRAIG BONE, PETER TROW and MARK BAILEY, but there are STILL no results from last Sunday's Crocodile 8. Watch this space ....
May 29 ~ Please note that the Blakedown Bolt 10km on Friday June 20th IS NOW FULL !  31 FEET have entered.  Race numbers for all those (14) who entered via RICHARD BAKER will be available from tomorrow evening (30th) at the Guest Run in Blakedown

May 26 ~ We have to send in our Blakedown Bolt entries TOMORROW (28th) so this is absolutely your LAST chance to get a place in this event on Friday June 20th. You need to e-mail me before 3.00 pm tomorrow (27th) or you will miss out
May 26 ~ We have heard from CRAIG BONE that both he and PETER TROW actually completed TWO races on Sunday (May 25th).  Having run the Magic Roundabout 10km in the morning, they then headed to Hereford for the Crocodile 8, where MARK BAILEY also ran. Results are not yet available for the Crocodile 8
May 26 ~ JOHN AMOS has advised that his Edinburgh marathon time of 3:29 (tbc) was his best 26.2 mile time for SIX years. Still awaiting full results
May 26 ~ RICHARD BAKER completes his second race series this month, running the Rowsley 4 (in gale force winds) which is the final event in the Tour of the Derwent Valley. Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE
May 25 ~ We are still awaiting news of JOHN AMOS in today's Edinburgh Marathon. According to the race website, the event is chipped, and results will be available on Wednesday May 28th. Oh, and I keep being told that chips are the way forward ???? What on earth takes a computer 4 days ?
May 25 ~ Sadly, SHAW PYE was unable to finish the Grand Union Canal 145 mile race today, despite running 85 miles in approx. 14.1/2 hours !!  From the start until 70 miles (yes, that's 70) SHAW was running in second or third position, but severe pains in his hip at 70 miles led to his eventual retirement at 85 miles. With six hours still to go to the cut-off point, the excellent event website confirms that 46 of the 75 starters have had to retire
May 25 ~ CRAIG BONE finishes third in today's Hay Hotfooters Magic Roundabout 10km : PETER TROW also ran, finishing 37th. Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE
May 25 ~ RICHARD BAKER takes another trip to South Derbyshire to complete the third leg of the Tour of the Derwent Valley : the Milford 5 and is happy to finally record one time that was faster than in 2007 (by 9 seconds). Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE
May 24 ~ Results from the Batch Bash fell race have now been published on the D-K website, and CRAIG LEWIS, RICHARD HAYNES & SARAH LEWIS all took part. Details are on the RESULTS PAGE
May 24 ~ The second event of the 2008 Tour of the Derwent Valley sees RICHARD BAKER complete the traditional Wirksworth Well-Dressing 4.2 mile race in Derbyshire. Full results are already on the race website and details are on the RESULTS PAGE
May 24 ~ RICHARD BAKER kicked off his 6th Tour of the Derwent Valley last night (23rd) at the Duffield 4.45 mile road race. Details available on the RESULTS PAGE. Race number two at Wirksworth is this afternoon
May 23 ~ IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE BLAKEDOWN BOLT (June 20th) :: The Blakedown Bolt is virtually full, with very few places left. Despite AMAZING FEET securing 30 guaranteed places in the race, it seems that 16 of you have entered directly anyway. Those who took advantage of the guaranteed places are also in, which will give us a total of around 27 entrants. IF ANYONE ELSE WANTS TO TAKE PART YOU MUST RETURN YOUR ENTRY FORM, SAE and CHEQUE MADE OUT TO R.A.BAKER TO ME BY TUESDAY 27th LATEST.  This is the final opportunity to enter before our guaranteed places are given away, so don't delay. E-mail or phone me if you want a place in this League event
May 23 ~ The Bank Holiday weekend sees the popular annual Tour of Derwent Valley in south Derbyshire, with the first race taking place in Duffield on Friday evening (tonight) starting at 8.00 pm. There are four races over the weekend (one a day) all between 4 and 5 miles long, but some with hills to die for. A t-shirt is awarded to every Tour finisher
May 23 ~ The Batch Bash fell race was also held on Wednesday evening (21st), but as yet there are no published results, and we have not heard from anyone that they took part
May 23 ~ Seems we had our largest turnout for years at the first race in the 2008 Worcs Mid-Week series on Wednesday evening (21st) with 8 FEET running in the Hagley 10km. RACHEAL MOSS finished as 2nd F40, with JEAN MAFFEI 3rd F40. Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE. Thanks to RUSSELL WILDING and JEAN M for the information
May 23 ~ It appears that RICHARD HAYNES ran the Caradoc Classic 3.1/2 mile, 880 feet ascent fell race on Wednesday 14th May at Church Stretton. Details are now on the RESULTS PAGE
May 22 ~ Not sure how regularly he reads this website, so time to wish SHAW PYE all the very best from all of us at Amazing Feet RC as he embarks on what must be the ultimate running challenge this weekend : the Grand Union Canal race at 145 MILES ! That's 5.1/2 marathons; 23.4 10kms; and a hell of a lot of pain. Route is along canal towpaths from Birmingham to London via Milton Keynes, and Shaw will be supported by Jane and David Pye, Simon Gregg, Craig & Sarah Lewis amongst others. We hear a time of 35 hours would be acceptable ??????????
May 21 ~ Who puts on a mid-week race on Champions League Final night ? Well, Telford AC do, and RICHARD BAKER was there to take part in tonight's Phoenix Flyer 5km, the second race in the 2008 Telford Sexarathon series. Full results are already complete and details are on the RESULTS PAGE
May 21 ~ The next "Guest Run" will take place on May 30th from the Swan car park in Blakedown at the usual 7.00 for a 7.15 start time. Host will be NIC HYDE
May 19 ~ Results from yesterday's Coleshill Fun Run are now available - Runners World forumites suggest a 5.25 mile course length. Details are on the RESULTS PAGE
May 19 ~ Another summer race series for you (though the first has already been held) : The Wedgnock 10km series on footpaths and trails. Dates are all Thursdays ~ June 12th/July 17th/August 14th. Venue is Adventure Sports Ltd, Wedgnock Rifle Range in Warwick, with a BBQ after each race. Entry forms are in the Club File
May 19 ~ Full results from the Brathay Windermere Marathon (May 18th) are now available and are on the RESULTS PAGE
May 19 ~ We have received details of a four race midweek summer time trial series at Wombourne Leisure Centre ~ distance is 5kms along the South Staffs railway path. Dates are all Wednesdays ~ May 28th/June 25th/July 30th/August 27th. Entry forms are in the Club File

May 18 ~ SIMON GREGG and IAN HALL both record PB's at today's Windermere marathon - details received so far are on the RESULTS PAGE
May 18 ~ CRAIG BONE finishes sixth (and takes another top 3 category finish) and PETER TROW makes it two races in two days at the Eastnor Castle 7 today. Details are on the RESULTS PAGE

May 18 ~ RICHARD BAKER makes it 7 races in 17 days at the Coleshill Fun Run today, partly making up for missing the Brathay Windermere marathon this year. The race was billed as 5 miles, but was nearer to 5 and a half. Results to come
May 17 ~ So it's a huge well done to MARK BAILEY and PETER TROW who completed today's Moel Eilio 8 mile fell race in Snowdonia, which included 3000 feet of ascent. This race was part of the Welsh Mountain Running Championships AND the British Fell Championships for 2008. Peter describes it simply as "the toughest thing I have ever done". May 17 ~ Results from last Sunday's (11th) Cobra Classic have now appeared on the DKRC website. Full details are now on our RESULTS PAGE
May 17 ~ Results from last Sunday's (11th) Leukaemia Research Fund 10km in Bromsgrove are now available, but without club names. You will have to let me know if you took part please !!

May 14 ~ While trawling through various websites (no, not those kind) it seems we had four runners in last Sunday's (11th) Tewkesbury half marathon :: DAVID WHYMANT, MARK BAILEY, CASSANDRA BELCHER and MARIE BYRNE. Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE

May 12~ As some of you will already know, Club Chairman and Treasurer MARTIN CHILDE has been ill recently and treated in hospital. Martin is back home to-day, though still poorly and taking things very easy. Members of AMAZING FEET RUNNING CLUB all send Martin their very best wishes during this difficult time, and we hope that he makes a full and very swift recovery back to health and fitness

May 8 ~ Wow - another amazing turnout as 29 of our club members took part in last night's D-K 10km on a gorgeous early summer evening. Congratulations in particular to JEAN MAFFEI who recorded her first sub:50 10km finish (48.57 to be exact), and to ELLIE HOOPER who we reckon finished as first F50. Spare a thought for IAN HALL - anything under 44.22 would have been a PB : sadly he finished in 44.26. CRAIG BONE came in as 2nd M45 and DAVID WHYMANT was 2nd M60. May 6 ~ If any club members are planning to run in the Cobra Classic, Bromsgrove LRF 10km, Tewkesbury half, Market Drayton 10km or Hill West 10km and are willing to take a handful of race entry forms to leave at race HQ, would they be good enough to contact RICHARD BAKER today or tomorrow please ?
May 5 ~ RICHARD BAKER completed his fifth race in eight days, and fourth in four days at the BBQ Breakfast 10km at Warwick University in Coventry, the final race in the Marathon Tour of Coventry & Warwickshire. Richard finished 8 seconds faster than yesterday and the day before, finally recording a time of 3 hours 36.18 for the 26.2 mile Tour distance
May 4 ~ The Marathon Tour of Coventry & Warwickshire moves on to the Prodrive test circuit at Fen End, and the Lord Leofric 10km. RICHARD BAKER unbelievably records EXACTLY the same time as yesterday. moving up one place overall in the Tour. Details are on the RESULTS PAGE
May 3 ~ A fine morning for runners on the third stage of the Marathon Tour of Coventry & Warwickshire : the Black Prince 10km from Coleshill Town FC taking in the private grounds of Packington Park. RICHARD BAKER completes this scenic 10km and details are on the RESULTS PAGE
May 2 ~ RICHARD BAKER competes in tonight's second race of the Marathon Tour of Coventry & Warwickshire, which is a 4.2 kms time trial at Allesley Park. Runners set off at two minute intervals in groups of 8 or 9 of mixed abilities. Details are on the RESULTS PAGE
