AMAZING FEET RC : LATEST NEWS ARCHIVE ~ NOVEMBER 2006

Nov 28 ~ We are preparing a special night for club members and their partners on Friday January 19th 2007 at the Aggborough Suite, Kidderminster Harriers FC. The annual PRESENTATION EVENING will see the prestigious Runners of the Year winners announced, while trophies for the 2006 Race League, Club Handicap and County and Cross Country medals will be presented. This year the evening will also include a VARIETY SHOW which is being directed by LINDSAY PULLEY and JANE PYE. If you are a club member and would like to "do a turn", please let either know as soon as possible so they can include you in the line-up. This can be anything that you are good at ~ singing, musical instrument, magic tricks, dance routine, sawing a lady in half, hypnotising the club membership into running faster etc etc. Break a leg luvvy !
Nov 26 ~ SHAW PYE completes the Castle Combe Duathlon (two mile run, 10 mile cycle, 2 mile run), knocking 2 minutes 17 seconds off his 2005 time. Details on the RESULTS page
Nov 26 ~ RICHARD BAKER completes race number 38 for the year with an excellent run at the Clowne Half Marathon. This was Richard's fifth half marathon in the last eleven weeks ! Details on the RESULTS page
Nov 23 ~ Photos from the Suicide Six-ish last Sunday are now on the FEET IMAGES page. These are only a selection from the D-K RC website, but we have tried to include at least one shot of everybody that is available there. Nov 22 ~ We have been asked by the Birmingham & District Cross Country League whether we can host the third fixture of the 2006/7 season on Saturday January 13th. We are looking at the possibilities and will let you all know in due course. In the meantime if anyone has any ideas regarding a course (no tarmac, with changing and admin facilities) please let Shaw Pye or Lindsay Pulley know as soon as possible
Nov 22 ~ Another three new members were approved at the AGM on November 9th (again apologies but I am only just starting to get information through piece by piece). Another warm AFRC welcome to TRACEY & ANTHONY SNOW and to JAN FLAVELL-RAYBONE. Tracey and Tony have already raced as Amazing Feet members at the Suicide Six
Nov 22 ~ We have received details from Worcestershire AAA of the 2007 Cross Country Championships to be held on Saturday 6th January 2007 at Malvern Common. More details are on the CROSS COUNTRY pages
Nov 22 ~ Sincere apologies to both for the delay, but two new members were approved at the November 6th committee meeting ~ LISA WOOTTON and GEORGE STERRY. A warm welcome to AFRC to you both. George has already raced as an Amazing Feet member at the Suicide Six
Nov 20 ~ The latest table has now been updated to include all 25 runners yesterday, and can be viewed on the RACE LEAGUE page. This is provisional, and may be subject to change once I am able to see an up to date membership listing
Nov 20 ~ Make that twenty-five members taking part in yesterday's Suicide Six-ish. New members GEORGE STERRY, TRACEY and TONY SNOW all completed their first races for the club, while SHONA CUTLER also took part, listed in the results as unattached. Apologies to all four. Details are now on the RESULTS page, and the RACE LEAGUE page will be updated as soon as possible
Nov 19 ~ The latest ups and downs after today's Suicide Six-ish are now available on the RACE LEAGUE page
Nov 19 ~ Twenty-one take part in to-day's Suicide Six-ish, with SHAW PYE first home for the club in 14th position. RACHEL WARD is our first lady home in 123rd position. ELLIE HOOPER is first F50, while IAN HALL completes his first official race in club colours. Full details on the RESULTS page
Nov 16 ~ We have received our Flora London Marathon club places to-day. All club members who have been with AFRC for twelve months are eligible to go into the December draw for these two places, provided they advise the Club Secretary that they have entered London, and been rejected. Initially, those who didn't run London in 2006 will go into the draw, with those who did only being allowed in if we don't have two members who satisfy the initial criteria. Remember IT IS UP TO YOU TO NOTIFY THE CLUB SECRETARY THAT YOU HAVE ENTERED, AND BEEN REJECTED
Nov 15 ~ Entry forms for the Bourton-on-the-Water 10km on Sunday February 25th 2007 have been added to the Club File. This fast, flat scenic 10km is an excellent early season race that always fills up in advance of race day
Nov 14 ~ We have received a number of booklets from UK:Athletics called "Power of 10" all about how we are going to "strengthen the breadth and depth of British athletics talent. These will be available at training nights ~ please take one if you are interested or if you simply want to see how UK:Athletics is wasting the sport's money !
Nov 14 ~ We have received details of the Leukaemia Care Christmas Fun Run in Worcester on Sunday December 10th - forms are in the Club File

Nov 11 ~ We have received entry forms for the Action Heart 5 mile race at Russell's Hall Hospital on Sunday February 25th 2007. Copies are in the Club File
Nov 10 ~ We have been advised by Telford AC that their Telford Christmas 10km on Sunday 17th December has already filled 285 of it's 500 places. This is up on the same time last year, and the race will be full before race day - enter now if you want to do this excellent fast flat 10km
Nov 9 ~ It's the AGM tonight, and just 22 club members attend at the Aggborough Suite at KHFC. Sadly GERRY SANDERS resigns from the committee due to work commitments. Gerry has worked tirelessly for the club, both in sorting out the club kit including club vests, reflective bibs and the new coats, and also with his help providing entry forms for our races. Cross Country Captain SHAW PYE brings some much needed young blood onto the committee

Nov 5 ~ RACHEL WARD finishes as first F45 at the Wrekin Wrecker fell race today ~ 8 miles and 2,400 feet of ascent. CRAIG LEWIS, RICHARD HAYNES and SARAH LEWIS also take part
Nov 5 ~ CRAIG BONE and DAVID WHYMANT both take part in the Guy Fawkes 5 at Tewkesbury. Details are on the RESULTS page
Nov 5 ~ RICHARD BAKER completes his 37th race of the year at the Derwentwater 10 in Cumbria. Details are on the RESULTS page
Nov 2 ~ Results from Senneleys Park are now available on the RESULTS page. Amazing Feet RC finished 10th out of 12 finishing clubs, well ahead of Peel RR and Massey Ferguson RC. Alvis RC and Droitwich AC both failed to finish a full team of six. Full details will go onto the Cross Country pages after my Lakes holiday next week
