Oct 29 ~ Congratulations to SHAW PYE who tackled the Bitch today. The Hagley Duathlon, affectionately known as the Bitch, consists of a 4km run, 30km cycle ride and an 8km run. Details on the RESULTS page
Oct 29 ~ We have received a brochure from Nirvana Europe covering their road running tours to various overseas races during 2006/7. These include Dubai, Malta, Lisbon, Zurich, Prague and Vienna Marathons, as well as accompanying half marathons at most of these. The brochure is in the Club Entry Form File - help yourself

Oct 28 ~ AMAZING FEET completes the first of this year's Cross Country League fixtures at Senneleys Park. Well done and thanks to RACHEL WARD, ANITA JONES, RACHEAL MOSS, SHAW PYE, SIMON JAROSINSKI, DAVID WHYMANT, MIKE WARREN, DAVID PYE, GERRY SANDERS & PETE WALL. Also to JANE PYE, SARAH LEWIS, LINDSAY PULLEY, RICHARD & LINDA BAKER for their support. Results to follow eventually, photos on the FEET IMAGES page
Oct 28 ~ 30 club members and 9 guests took part in the 2006 Amazing Feet Quiz at Aggborough last night, with 10 teams fighting it out. The aptly titled "Kiss Me Where It Smells Funny" (MONICA GUISE, DANIELLA MAFFEI, CORIN ELLIOTT and ringer, sorry, guest Phil Rolls) retained their title with 117 points, followed by "The 3 Amigos and the Invisible Man" (SHAW PYE, SIMON GREGG, MARTIN PROUDLER and SIMON JAROSINSKI) with 102 and "Lewis and Pumpkin Pye" (DAVID PYE, SARAH LEWIS, JANE PYE and CRAIG LEWIS) on 101. "Pumpkins" (RACHEL WARD, ANNE RENDELL, Mike Ward, Mike Rendell and Richard Rendell) won the wooden spoons after a three-team 'quiz-off' for last place

VOTING SLIPS FOR THE 2007 RACE LEAGUE MAKE-UP ARE BEING SENT OUT WITH AGM LETTERS THIS WEEKEND. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR FORM IS RETURNED TO RICHARD BAKER BY THE END OF NOVEMBER, SO THE LEAGUE FIXTURES FOR 2007 CAN BE CONFIRMED AT THE DECEMBER COMMITTEE MEETING.  THANK YOU.

Oct 23 ~ Congratulations to both KEVIN and JULIE DRAPER, who completed yesterday's Lady Godiva Half Marathon in Coventry. Full details are on the RESULTS page
Oct 23 ~ Final results for LIZZIE and CASSIE BELCHER from the Chicago Marathon are now on the RESULTS page. Sadly MARIE BYRNE dropped out at 18 miles in freezing conditions. Marie is fine, but simply didn't want to overdo it. Well done to all three of you
Oct 22 ~ 8.50 pm. CASSIE BELCHER has completed the Chicago marathon in a time of 6:21.41 on the gun, 5:57.46 chip time. Still no further news on MARIE BYRNE
Oct 22 ~ 7.30 pm. CASSIE BELCHER has gone through 35kms at Chicago in 4:47.45, and has a predicted finish time of 5:46.54
Oct 22 ~ 7.15 pm.  LIZZIE BELCHER has finished the Chicago marathon in a time of 4:37.16 on the gun, 4:22.37 chip time. No further news yet on MARIE BYRNE
Oct 22 ~ As I update this at 7.00 pm, LIZZIE BELCHER has gone through 35kms in the Chicago Marathon, with a predicted finish time of 4:24.55. MARIE BYRNE has gone through 25kms in 3:41.34 with a predicted finish time of 6:13.58. Keep going girls !
Oct 22 ~ Stroud Half Marathon results are up on the Stroud AC website - club results are on our RESULTS PAGE. Please note I have used the GUN time, simply because the race category positions have been based on the gun time !

Oct 21 ~ We have received a number of copies of UK Athletics new magazine "Inspire". (Good to see UK Athletics continuing to waste the sports money in this way). We have six copies which will be available for anybody who wants one at training this week

Oct 20 ~ Race League updates after Pattingham are now on the RACE LEAGUE page
Oct 18 ~ Results from Pattingham have now been published, though there are a number of errors amongst them. Worst of these is the complete omission of ELLIE HOOPER, whose time would have put her in as third F50. We have added her in, pushing everyone else down one place at the moment. Other errors include PETER TROW and BEVERLEY GULLIVER being shown as Telford Harriers (hands off, they're ours) and two ladies shown as Amazing Feet RC, who are not members. We have covered everything hopefully and details are on the RESULTS page
Oct 17 ~ We welcome four more new members to the club, all approved at last night's committee meeting : JULIE DRAPER, CASSANDRA BELCHER, KEVIN DRAPER, IAN HALL. A very warm welcome to all four of you - membership now stands at 94
Oct 17 ~ The date is set for the 2006 Club handicap : Sunday November 12th at the Wyre Forest Visitor Centre. To save the workload a little, can you please let RICHARD BAKER know if you intend to come. No final commitment is needed but he would rather just work out times for those who are definitely coming, than for all 94 club members

Oct 16 ~ We have received entry forms today for the Not The Roman IX on Sunday 28th January 2007 at Stratford-upon-Avon. This is now a 12km road race, is usually the first event in the club's Race League, and always fills up well before the closing date. If you want to take part, get your entries in as soon as you can. Oct 16 ~ It seems the Pattingham results will not be available until Wednesday (October 119th according to the race website) so you'll have to wait for the full results and latest race league positions. However, we can confirm that SIMON JAROSINSKI and CRAIG BONE are level again at the top of the League with three races to go. Exciting innit ?

Oct 15 ~ The club posts another huge entry at the Bells of Pattingham Run today. RACHEL WARD finishes as third lady, while DAVID WHYMANT takes the M60 prize. JENNY BADHAM starts the race 10 minutes late (hubby Ken is the one in trouble) but still starts and finishes the race. ROB MIDDLETON celebrates his silver wedding anniversary today, by running Pattingham !!
Oct 12 ~ The Midland Cross Country Championship Races will be held on Saturday 18th November at Bramcote Park, Nottingham. Six to score in the men's race and four to score in the women's race. If you are interested, please contact your Cross Country captains
Oct 8 ~ Congratulations to CASSIE and MARIE BYRNE who completed the Kenilworth Half Marathon today. A PB for Cassie as it is her first half marathon. Along with LIZZIE BELCHER, mum and her two girls are ready for the Chicago Marathon in a couple of weeks ~ good luck to all three of you
Oct 8 ~ An excellent morning as nine of us meet at the Talbot in Chaddesley Corbett to tackle JANE & DAVID PYE's latest Treasure Hunt. Just over 6 miles of running/walking and around 42 clues to answer saw everyone eventually back at the Talbot for excellent sandwiches and a pint or two. All those of you who stayed in bed/couldn't be bothered missed an absolute treat - great morning -  thanks to Jane & David. CRAIG LEWIS and GERRY SANDERS were the winners on 55 points, followed by RICHARD BAKER, MIKE WARREN and KEVIN DRAPER on 54 with RACHEL WARD and SARAH LEWIS third on 53, the same points score as MARTIN PROUDLER and SIMON GREGG in fourth
Oct 7 ~ We have received notification of the English Cross Country Association's National Cross Country Relays which will be held on Saturday 4th November at Mansfield. If you are interested in taking part, please let your Cross Country Captains know as soon as possible ~ closing date is 23rd October
Oct 6 ~ Entry forms have been added to the Club File for the Centurion RC Winter Grand Prix series starting on November 5th and continuing one a month through to April 1st. This is an excellent series of six races, all at 5 miles distance over the same course giving you an excellent opportunity to gauge your progress through the winter months
Oct 6 ~ The next committee meeting scheduled for Monday (October 9th) has been postponed by a week to October 16th. Not too late for further nominations for the Foot of the Month for September

Oct 5 ~ In response to members' requests, we now have a sample of the windproof jacket from Ridgeway Textiles which will sell for approx. £35. The jackets will be in club colours, and can also include the AMAZING FEET turtle and the club name in letters. However, we would like you have your say, so we persuaded CRAIG LEWIS to model the jackets, and you are invited to e-mail SARAH LEWIS at somemonkeys@btinternet.com with your views and ideas on the colour scheme and lettering. The next committee meeting is on Monday 9th and your comments would be useful by then, if not by Friday 13th at the latest please
