September 25 ~ We have been advised by race organisers that there have been changes to the entry system for the 2009 Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday May 31st. There will be NO ballot system and entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis up to January 15th 2009 or until 11,500 entries have been accepted, whichever is soonest. Club runners will NOT receive a guaranteed entry after January 15th, so you must enter before that date, or the 11,500 limit is reached. More information can be found at www.edinburgh-marathon.co.uk
September 25 ~ Please note that tomorrow (26th) is the closing date for entries into the Birmingham half marathon on Sunday October 26th : on-line entries are available at www.birminghamhalfmarathon.com
September 24 ~ With the inclusion of Emma Hornby, this year's ladies cross country team looks particularly strong, but we are aware that a number of our regulars in the men's team are unavailable for the first race at Senneleys Park on October 25th due to the Snowdon Marathon on the following day. Our new Club Captain IAN HALL will be contacting our male membership over the next few days, but if you are able and willing to run on the 26th, please contact Ian as soon as possible on ianhall1962@yahoo.co.uk or phone on 07920 817087. We need SIX finishers to complete a team, something we have never failed to do in six years of League competition
September 24 ~ Race organisers from the Badger Bite on Sunday October 5th have e-mailed us to advise that they still have places available in this year's race. However, late entries MUST be with them by 12 noon on Tuesday September 30th. There will be no entries on the day even if the race hasn't filled up in advance
September 23 ~ As a result of Martin's resignation, the committee is now down to just five members, two away from our preferred number of seven, and one down on the six we have had throughout this year. If anybody within the club would like to join the committee (the most arduous task is to meet once a month at the Land Oak to discuss club matters over a pint) can they please let Secretary RICHARD BAKER know as soon as possible, and certainly before the AGM on November 20th
September 23 ~ We are delighted to confirm that JOHN AMOS has offered to take over the mantle as Club Chairman, and the committee have unanimously approved this. John has been a member of AMAZING FEET for over a decade, and will undoubtedly continue Martin Childe's excellent work. JANE PYE has volunteered to continue looking after the Treasurer's role at least up to the AGM in November. Jane has taken on this role since Martin became ill. Once again, the club would like to thank both John and Jane for stepping into Martin's formidable shoes at this time
September 23 ~ For those who don't know, our club Chairmen and Treasurer MARTIN CHILDE has been battling against serious illness since April of this year, and despite now being out of danger and on the mend, Martin is still not well, and facing a long hard road back to normal life and full health, let alone fitness. Since Martin went into hospital five months ago, the club has continued unchanged in his absence, but Martin has now resigned from his positions as Chairman and Treasurer, as well as his long standing tenure on the club committee. AMAZING FEET RC owes Martin a tremendous debt of gratitude for what we believe is something like 12 years where he has steered the club through both good times and bad, often holding things together with his gentle style full of reason and common sense. Everybody at AMAZING FEET RC wishes Martin every success on his long and probably difficult road back to full health, and of course as one of the club's two Life Members, he will be welcome back at any time, in any capacity
September 23 ~ AMAZING FEET is delighted to welcome our 80th member EMMA HORNBY who was unanimously approved at last night's committee meeting. We trust that Emma will enjoy her running with the club, and we hope this is the start of a long AMAZING FEET career for Emma
September 23 ~ The result of the vote for the August FOOT OF THE MONTH award at last night's committee meeting resulted in a tie, with both DAVID WHYMANT and RACHEAL MOSS receiving two votes each.
September 23 ~ The club's latest committee meeting took place last night at the Land Oak with RICHARD BAKER, JOHN AMOS, JANE PYE and CRAIG LEWIS present

September 22 ~ Well done to SARAH ARMSTRONG who knocked 23 seconds off her own F40 Club 10km record at last Sunday's Shuttle/Mercer 10km at Stourport (14th). Must be something about September - her previous club best was at Swansea Bay in September 07. Details are on the CLUB RECORDS PAGE

DAVID WHYMANT (M60 Champion) and GERALDEEN LYNCH (F45 Champion) took the honours, though there were several other top three category finishes of note. Our other new member from August MARK COOPER completed his first race in club colours with a PB. Our ladies were team champions, and our men came second in the team competition. All in all a good day for the club. Thanks to JOHN AMOS and the DK10k website, the full details are now available on the RESULTS PAGE
September 14 ~ For the third successive year, RICHARD BAKER took part in the Great Langdale half marathon in Cumbria, billed as the country's toughest and most scenic half. For the second year, Richard improved his time, despite the race being run in the opposite direction. Details so far on the RESULTS PAGE
September 13 ~ We have received entry forms from England Athletics for the 2008 National Cross Country Relays to be held on Saturday November 1st at Mansfield in Nottinghamshire. If the club is interested in taking part (men run four legs of 5kms each; ladies run three legs of 3kms each) please register your interest with either IAN HALL or SARAH LEWIS as soon as possible. Entries close on Friday October 10th
September 13 ~ We have been advised by Ian Clarke that the 2009 Stourbridge Stagger will take place on Sunday February 8th. This is a week later than previous years, apparently to avoid a clash with the Tough Guy event. This will mean that our own 8 miler in the Wyre Forest will have to also move back a week to Sunday February 15th : can ALL club members please note this date in their diaries and make every effort to be available to help out on the day ?
September 13 ~ We are absolutely delighted to be able to confirm that IAN HALL has offered to captain the men's cross country team for the 2008/9 season, which the club committee has enthusiastically accepted. Ian will be in touch with club members soon regarding their availability for the first fixture at Senneleys Park on October 25th, but in the meantime if you want to take part you can of course contact Ian yourselves and let him know. The club are very grateful to Ian for filling the gap as it were, and we are all sure that he will make an excellent club captain

September 8 ~ Most of our members will no doubt be running in the County Championship 10km race at Stourport next Sunday (14th), but any that were planning to do the Runaround Top Barn 10km instead won't be able to - the race has been cancelled due to a waterlogged course
September 8 ~ It seems that the results for the Wolverhampton half marathon last Sunday (7th) are somewhat incorrect ~ we do now have a fourth AFRC finisher, as our new member GERALDEEN LYNCH also finished the race just behind Racheal Moss. The results have them the other way round, so Racheal's time is 3 seconds better than first advertised, and one place higher. Even better, Geraldeen was the first F45 to finish. Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE
September 8 ~ Full details from the Lichfield 10km on Sunday (7th) are now available on the RESULTS PAGE ~ RICHARD BAKER finishing in the top 32% of the field

Full details are on the RESULTS PAGE, however note that the results site states "due to problems at the finish line, these results should be considered as provisional"
September 8 ~ Even greater congratulations to RACHEAL MOSS who not only recorded a PB at yesterday's Wolverhampton half, but finished as third F40

September 7 ~ Having decided on not taking on a day trip to the Lakes and a 14km trail race in the midst of yet more torrential rain, RICHARD BAKER made up for the disappointment of missing the Derwentwater 14km by taking part in today's Lichfield 10km at the last minute. Richard completed the popular event for the second time, knocking almost 4.1/2 minutes off his 2005 time. Details are on the RESULTS PAGE ; full results to follow

September 3 ~ RICHARD BAKER makes it 6 races in 16 days (is there still anyone else in this club ????) as he completes the final race in the 2008 Telford Sexarathon, the Madeley Matchmaker 5km. Details are on the RESULTS PAGE :: full details to follow. This is the first time that Richard has actually completed all six races in the Sexarathon, despite several fives and fours during the years
