Despite forecasts of horrendous storms, the 2008 treat enjoyed blue skies and sunshine (for the most part). Dry conditions made it a quick and comfortable multi-terrain this year, and 19 FEET took full advantage (it's a good job we were there I think - just 101 finishers this year including us). JEAN MAFFEI, SARAH LEWIS and RICHARD BAKER scored their first league points of 2008, with 31 now having taken part in at least one event. RICHARD DILWORTH collected the 30 points for first home for the club - the fourth different leading FOOT in four races. CRAIG BONE & JOHN AMOS remain first & second - DAVID WHYMANT moves into third alongside MARK BAILEY. In the Ladies league, a third maximum 10 pointer for LOUISE MASSEY gives her a huge lead already over an absent RACHEL WARD. ELLIE HOOPER slips past JULIE DRAPER into third place, but just five points separate third from seventh. Four races in and there are nine ever-presents - RACHEL WARD, COLIN FRANCE and JULIE DRAPER all missed out for the first time this year. CRAIG BONE has now run in 34 consecutive League races, GERRY SANDERS in 64.
