Congratulations to SUZANNE DUNN who has taken the 2009 Ladies Race League title after collecting seven vital points at the Shuttle 10km. Third in 2008, Suzanne is now 26 points ahead of GERALDEEN LYNCH and is therefore out of reach with two races to go.

First points of the season for SHAW PYE, HELEN PARISH and STEVEN HAWKES, who becomes the 7th athlete to score a maximum 30 pointer this year. JOHN AMOS closes to within 7 points of ever-present GERRY SANDERS (89 consecutive races) while DAVID WHYMANT and SUZANNE DUNN both move ahead of IAN HALL who finally surrenders third place which he had held on to for ages despite his injury and enforced lack of action. Eleven members take part in this the 13th race of the 15 race season.

In the Ladies League, HELEN PARISH becomes the 9th athlete in 13 races to score a maximum 10, while RACHEAL MOSS climbs to within two points of JEAN MAFFEI in the race for third place.
